Some of us were saying how Harewood was still good enough to play in the Championship and shouldn't drop into League 1 (as was rumoured). In fact certain people were pretty keen to have him here...

Well, after unsuccessfully negotiating a contract with Notts County, he has gone on to join Chinese club Shenzhen Pheonix, who are in the Chinese second division :emoticon-0108-speec

    WTF.

Hasn't Robbie Fowler (he is past it) just done something similar?

Moves like this must only be for the money. What other reason would it be for.

fowler is in australia, unless he has moved again recently...
shame how his career went, i genuinely thought he was on course to be one of the greatest ever when he burst onto the scene..

Fowler was released from Perth Glory and is now at Muang Thong United. I'm surprised he's carried on playing to be honest, I'd of thought his appetite for the game would have gone after playing for 2 years in the less than impressive A-League.

Punditry would surely appeal more; but as you've stated, money has to be a major factor

    Fowler's gone to Thailand now.

Shenzhen Pheonix are a decent team, but they got relegated last season, they play in a 33,000 seater stadium and he can live in Hong Kong and commute, he'll also be very well paid.

Even a team in thailand get a beater kit then ours. Amber instead of red would look decent.

Isnt Fowler is one of the richest footballers around after investing most of his money when others were just wasting theirs

He owns 80 properties on Merseyside that he rents out, that's quite some portfolio.
