    Latest twitter rumour is that Laudrop is looking at bringing Markus Rosenberg to the Liberty. He is a free agent after leaving Werder Bremen to look for a new challenge.

    I don't know how he can be interested in anyone as he hasn't even seen our current squad. Take this with a large pinch of salt

    Although he hasn't seen our squad i would imagine that he has been clued up by HJ and has done some homework on us already and therefore would be aware that we could do with a decent finisher.So there might be something in it but i wont hold my breath

    Hell, this guy has a great shot with either foot and good with his head too. If ML can get him playing like that for us (IF he signs) we'd have a top striker and no transfer fee involved. I'd like to know more but VERY interesting.

    "I've watched some DVDs with a lot more to watch", says Laudrup. I suspect he already knows where we need strengthening. Hope someone tells him about the Caulker situation sharpish!

    We are not going to sign anyone until he arrives in town and assesses what is needed, watching DVDs of us playing is not going to make him decide things alone. Being linked to players means nothing just now

    Think you're right, but we have to remember that time is of the essence. No, not panic button time but he needs to get a handle on what we need / don't need quickly if we're not going to miss out, though any player who knows his history will want to play for him imo.

    I would think that if ML figures upgrades are needed / available that most of the activity would be done towards the end of August - this way he can learn about the squad, see them in action in a couple of Prem matches, evaluate his targets. Only down side is that we usually struggle to get the FIFA paper work processed with the deadlines.

    The only real time is of the essence move right now is nailing down a renewal of the Caulker loan or acquiring somebody else in lieu.

    Exactly, laudrup has not been to the liberty yet or met any of the players. why would anyone not just laudrup start bringing in players after 5 minutes in the job....<laugh> its bull ****e.

    I'm sure Huw will have fully briefed him and the squad strengths/weaknesses ,this will at least give him a reference point to start looking
