Couldn't see anything about it so i thought i might give it a mention. This saturday we have the second Markus Leibherr trophy and the chance to see our beloved saints back in action. I went to the first one and found it a very good way to spend what was a lovely sunny summers evening although i doubt the weather will be the same this time around. A good chance to see the majority of the saints sqaud in action, with ofcourse our new additions in Jay Rodriguez and Steven Davis, maybe even a couple more if we're lucky. I am looking forward to seeing us pitch oursleves against Arsenal and Anderlecht with the added excitement of the Olympic Torch that will be making it's way round the pitch although i'm not sure what time. Hopefully this year there will be a bigger crowd as it is a good bit of fun to have and we might actually get a band of away fans this time. Anyone else planning to go ? Will the flag of Markus come back out ? Saintsfcfan
About what time should the proceedings finish? I have to be at work by 22:00 hate to have to leave early!
Saints vs Arsenal kicks off at 8pm I think, with a 45 minute game along with trophy proceedings, so it all should be finished by 9.15 latest
This is the first time i have gone to this tournament and i'm taking my 7yr old and his mate. Those who have been before, Whats the format before KO is there anything going on outside the stadium etc or is it just K.O as it says on the tickets? Thanks in advance
There is a small bit at the bottom of this page with the times of the matches, almost missed it myself. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2823701,00.html
Looking forward to seeing the players in action again. Reckon we'll do a total team reshuffle at half time and see a good bit of everyone like we have in previous pre-season games. Looking forward to seeing the new signings and the kids we've heard so much about.
With 45 min games there won't be an actual half-time, but expect full scale changes between the teams v Arsenal and v. Anderlecht. Wish I could go...should be an interesting and informative day.
