Serbian winger 22 years old On Liverpool's books Made 19 appearances for the Reds scoring twice Been out on loan abroad and hasn't played too many games over the last 2 seasons partly due to injury Halmosi or Elliott?
Peter Halmosi, an upmarket Ryan Williams - both played one good game in their careers, against us ...
Admittedly he's done **** all in the last 3 or so years. However, something persuaded Liverpool to splurge £20m on him. I'm prepared to give him a chance and I only hope his form is reminiscent of his time with Benfica before Livepool.
Whichever way, it's going to be interesting to see if Silva can tune all of these in together. Forget all of the owner bullshit, we're certainly going to have some interesting football times in the next four months - most folk thought we did okay against Chelsea, where Snodders was absent and Jake had moved on.
Having checked with Pool supporters since I've seen this "Well something made them splash out on him" comment a lot, it seems their owners are obsessed with re-sale value so picked him up thinking that as a young promising player they couldn't go wrong.
We obviously can't get players who have talent and maximum application. Those are at better clubs. We lack quality and we lack wingers. If this guy has quality and we're taking a gamble on his attitude and commitment, I think it's a gamble we have to take. Hopefully it comes off. If we don't try something then we'll almost definitely go down, and we're not going to get someone proven so...
Silva's best attribute needs to be motivating uncommitted players with poor attitudes. Let's hope he's up to it.
Same here...a few think he was unlucky and are looking forward to seeing how he gets on with us. He'll certainly add some pace to the side anyway
Each time I saw him he looked a bit raw but willing to try something different. I'm excited to see what he can do.
Just to say this post was tongue in cheek ok. No idea how good he might be or bad. Give him a chance and get behind him
