Looks like the new owners arent wasting much time in slotting the pieces into place for increasing the Liverpool image on a much larger scale. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...tlett-as-commerical-director-100252-29101315/
That is an excellent addition. Can't argue with his C.V. Worked for UEFA and Nike. You don't get into them jobs without being good at what you do. Welcome to the club Graham.
Yeah, alright. Putting UEFA in was probably a mistake. In my defence, he did work for them a good few years ago. Nike and UEFA were the two stand outs in his C.V so I thought i'd mention them.
I don't care who he worked for as long as he turns us into a commercial powerhouse that takes Man United apart off the pitch.
This is good news. I remember seeing a tweet by JWH about how we need to expand our coverage in asia, I don't think he was expecting the reception we received (30000 people to see us train!! - Thats not that many less that came to see us against Bolton last season). If thats just one country, imagine the reception we'd get in others, imagine the money thats there to be made? If things carry along like this then Liverpool will be a force in 10 years, if not on the pitch then certainly off of it
I will try to look for it but the money made for the MLS and United on this tour is crazy. When they humped Seattle the other night ( granted seattle is all about attack not too good defensively) what Seattle made for that game alone is more than they would make the entire season ( they sell out around 25-30k every home game). Tickets ranged from 40-750, all the jerseys, scarfs, etc that were bought. These tours do pull in some astronomical figures!
Bozz. We'll definitely be a force on the pitch in less than 10 years.A sustained period of Liverpool domination is just around the corner. The red machine is almost at full effect and is ready to run over everything that stands in its way.
Also makes you think how shocking it is we haven't had this kind of structure in place before. Given the amount of money in football, most clubs are still run in a fairly amateur way. We're clearly being ruthless in going after a big piece of the commercial pie. Bet JWH and co were rubbing their hands together when they got LFC for the price they did, and they're probably down to stumps after the turnout on the tour we just had. Thank god we no longer have Rick Parry responsible for 90% of all decisions at the club, we actually have people with individual jobs who know what they are doing. We'll be a footballing juggernaut in a decade or so.
We'll be a financial juggernaut in 10 years or so. You're being extremely unfair to John Henry and FSG. Liverpool have an established brand, tthey don't have to put money into the advertising and marketing end to make money, thats all been done over the years, what they need now is promotional experts to use aggressive marketing techniques. If you have the right people on board and the right wing to your overall business like FSG do in Fenway Sports Management, this part is easy.Liverpool will be a money making machine in no time.
