If as seems likely we are able to get an Emergency Keeper on Loan, who is available?

Surely, we'll only be able to get a 3rd choice from PL Clubs if at all.
So either someone at the end of their careers or perhaps an out of contract keeper.

Schwarzer? Can see Chelsea agreeing to it.
Friedel? Cant see it as we have Spuds in LC.

    Maybe even Steve Harper?

They were saying on Total Sport that Newcastle would not be entitled to a loan as they have two fit keepers plus one on loan at Forest.

Can't see Chelsea agreeing to Schwarzer. Mourinho would complain that we wouldn't give him back.
I think under Premier League rules the loaning club can specify he cannot play against them.

If we're left having to trust the youngsters then so be it. At least Jak has had 45 mins which will make it less daunting than knowing all week he was making his debut against Arsenal

Suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens, but precedents have already been set.

I think its a bit of a shame to bring in an emergency keeper then put him straight in the first team. Its not easy for a young keeper to get his chance. In Jak we trust.

Doesn't look like we'll be allowed to bring a loanee in. I think Alnwick and woodman count as senior keepers, so it isn't an emergency as such...

Alnwick Under 21, Woodman Under 21. That's no keepers of the age you need to be registered.

If you have agreed a SEASON loan then you are not allowed to bring them back. Jose will give us Petr Czech so that other clubs hopefully drop points aiding Chelski. ( I wish )

Nufc.com seem to think there has been official confirmation from the premier league that we can't bring in a loanee. Hilariously, Karl Darlow is cited as a reason- technically he is asenior keeper on our books, regardless of whether we can recall him (we can't).

Absolute joke if we can't get an emergency loan. I bet if it were a bigger club the rules would be different. You can't count a bunch of kids or keepers who can't actually play for you.

    Oh well, howay Jak!

I am all for giving youngsters a chance and Jak did great on Sat, but I'm really not sure that he is ready. one good 45 min performance dosn't mean his ready. At such a young age too, what would a 6-7 nil loss do to him against arsenal. Goalkeeping is very much a job for the mentally strong and I for one could see us on the end of a hammering if we were to concede early on at the emirates
