Hi chaps Just read Lawro's latest article on BBC Sport regarding the potential transfer moves in the current window. The first thing that meets your eyes is Pepe Reina moving to Arsenal, of which he states: "Liverpool's Pepe Reina would be ideal because he needs a new challenge". Does anyone else find this really annoying? An ex player basically unsettling our players and spreading rumour? Where is his bloody loyalty? It stinks of a man with a hugely inflated ego producing flippant comments as he pleases because he can. Did he ever even play for us? I do wonder some times - it's the first bloody bit you read! Yeah, annoyed me a bit too when I read it earlier. I'm surprised people even think Arsenal are in any better shape than us right now tbh...they're struggling, losing top players fast and going nowhere fast.
Agreed. They've obviously got a better chance than us of getting into the top 4 from their position (6 pts behind 3rd with 2 games in hand) but their defence is very leaky and had Newcastle been fresher they would've closed the game out or even gone onto win IMO. And the fact is they've got tough games this month with away trips to Stamford Bridge & Southampton plus home games against us, Man City & West Ham. PLUS all the talk for them this January is whether they can get Walcott to sign a new contract. I've not heard much talk of them bringing someone in. We'll be getting Sturridge, Ince & possibly another in. There's hardly been any talk of Arsenal being in the market to sign players, even though they desperately need to strengthen.
