So the common consensus on here is that Warnock is now a 'Dead man walking'. A new manager coming in would need to be appointed immediately and there aren't many with the pedigree to be able to hit the ground running. The most high-profile of the 'Usual Suspects' would be Mark Hughes. He'll certainly command the respect of the dressing room but would he be the right choice?

For now, maybe, to keep us in the top flight by sticking a few rockets up arses and changing the defeatist tactics. Long term I am not so sure.

We need a 'lucky' manager right now because unfortunately NW hasn't had any of late. We also need a decision or two to go our way instead of against. Most other teams are getting a fortunate break with a decision going their way to win a game. NW must have run over a Black Cat pre season.

I think we have had our fair share of fortune. A number of stone wall pens havent been given. In truth we simply arent good enough at this level

Unless we have a manager lined up, then we must keep NW. We can't afford to waste this window searching for a new manager. Let NW bring in some players then get rid in Feb. I'm sure whoever comes in will be able to do more with our squad.

I think people always look back on his time with wales but they didn't even qualify despite an impressive campaign. So yeah, he hasn't done much. But the same can be said of neil in top flight. And he's an old geezer who has probably reached his limit.

Warnock at the very least deserves a proper transfer window to get some players of the proper calibre in. Last time he was left with the scraps (Perone, ****tu etc), some cheap buys and at the very end was able to spend a bit, not loads, on some of the few players still available, all while not knowing what was going on upstairs so unable to have any real concrete idea of what his squad would be at the end of the window.

If he gets 3 or 4 in and results remain poor for the next couple of months then it might be worth bringing someone else in in a bid to salvage the season but relegation really wouldn't be the disaster people make out. The alternatives aren't great imo. Mark Hughes is far from guaranteed to want to come- he left Fulham, a club with not dissimilar resources, fanbase etc. Curbishley is another name always banded around but a.) Would he want the job? and b.) Could he still do it after so long out?

Warnock only deserves his wages at the end of each month, hes no different to anybody on this site.If you dont perform nobody remembers what you did last year.Harsh reality but life,he knows that with s**t results his days are numbered.

Mark Hughes looks good in shirt and tie...

TF's said to be looking at Zola and one or two others. Thing is new management isn't affected by transfer windows and NW's contracted to carry on until the curtain drops one way or another.

Shame we missed out on O'Neil. Personally, I'd be thinking of Lambert on an offer he couldn't refuse.

Hughes? Not for me. Keep Warnock, let him bring his players in.

If it was Hughes then he will have contacts at lots of clubs and would be a bigger pull for more players! Sorry that Warnock ended this way and thanks for the last 18 months but this seemed inevitable after a recent run like ours.

    Come on u RSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I agree, more players will be willing to work under mark hughes than neil warnock. Although not his biggest fan, its a shame how this has all happened so sudden. He'll get another job in the Championship, which is where he belongs IMO, but good luck to him, he was good for us

he took blackburn to europe via league position. that's no easy thing to do. I think he'll do well for Rangers if he comes
