If players from both sides encroach, the penalty has to be retaken, whether it's a goal or not. That's what the rules say. Still a top quality excuse tho - Hughes is obviously learning his trade well. Soon he'll be at the level where he can claim his players' shirts made it difficult for them to see each other...
