Just to confirm what's being said elsewhere and to answer a couple of pm's I have received. Mark Hughes does indeed have a relegation get out clause and the likelihood is he will leave if we are relegated.

This comes from a very reliable source that works in the higher echelons of the club.

Of course he does just as the clubs have one aswell. standard practise nowadays but usually from the clubs point of view and laughable that a manager should have one.

I'm not surprised, bad news indeed if QPR don't stay up.

Not really district, If we go down and he goes then he wasn't good enough anyway. I can't see which other club would want him.

When you look at the teams we have played and he has only taken 7 points, say compared to O'Neill at Sunderland when he arrived there.

Pretty poor really, especially the wages he is getting.

I think we're better off waiting until the end of the season to see if he's worth his salt.

To be honest, if we do go down I don't think MH would just walk away if his contract is as lucrative as we're led to believe. Sacking him would be expensive so we may be lumbered with him and, if he had any pride, he'd be determined to bring us back up at the first attempt. He'd not do his reputation any good if he was seen as a total failure, he perhaps underestimated just how big a job turning things round really was...

I'm more concerned about which players can walk away.

Only the loanees (almost a song there! ) Barton & SWP probably have exit clauses but who'd want them?

Yes I think MH Barton and SWP and maybe BZ will probs stay because they're on such lucrative contracts - none of them will get that sort of cash elsewhere.

They are the players that we will need to get rid off.

I saw somewhere that Mark Hughes record as manager is pretty much consistantly s###e for the first 10 or 15 games at a new club. I think (dont quote me on it) his best win ratio at Blackburn,Man City or Fulham was about 20ish %.
It was always gonna be a bit of a gamble knowing that a large majority of our first 10 games were really 'must win' games and on paper the easier ones. Hopefully now he has had a 'bedding in period' we might start improving on the results front.

If anyone has a chance to find the correct stats then could they put them up please
