Huges - fantastic Dutch Manager! Introduced Holland to total footbal, legal free sex and dope, and won them the World long distance Speed skating championships. This guy will leave the rest of the PL wondering how they'll ever have a chance of winning it again. Sir Alex is rumoured to be taking out his pension....

Worried to read that his agent (also at Loftus Road) is one Kia Joorabchian. every time I tread this bloke's name, I get concerned for some reason....

Is it a case of we must make it looklike we are interviewing you even though we have been talking for a while and have your transfer list. I mean how many of our targets have worked with Hughes...... pretty much all of them.

Given he walked away from Fulham because the investment they were willing to make was not enough it makes you wonder how much Fernadez and Bhatia are saying will be in the pot? For sure it seems certain that Samba and Johnson will be on their way to us given his previous clubs.

I reckon the Fulham insufficient ambition thing was just an excuse to make himself available for the Villa job - that subsequently backfired on Hughes.

So much for his business advisor then (regardless of how you pronounce his name).

Agree with that, walked away thinking he would get the Villa job but just made himself look silly as he didn't get it. Hope he signs ASAP so he can make the most of the transfer window and try and rpepare for the Newcastle game.

Considering who's available, who would realistically consider coming to us and the timescale I think Hughes is a shoe-in. Cant believe some of the nonsense written on these boards stating that his record isnt as good as Warnock's. We all owe NW a great deal of gratitude but his Premier League record stinks....whereas MH has got 2 teams similar in size to us to compete effectively and some would say punch above their weight in this division. Anyway sad as it is for NW he's been in this game long enough to know its about results and you can tell from his statement that he wasnt bitter or even surprised. Time to move on and start putting some points on the board. Looking forward to MH taking no nonsense from some of our overblown egos....JB (x2), AT etc etc

For those people saying Hughes (or Huges) isn't the right person => deja vu re: Warnock, when he was appointed!
Plenty of fans that didn't want him either!
We'll do well to get Hughes into the club. All the other 'possibles' are either a much worse option, or totally out of our league!!!
Get on and support the club, board and manager - we're in a dogfight through to the end of the season, so let's get on and support our team to the hilt!!!
