Good thing we've gotten rid but I can't help feel a bit sorry for the guy, he was doomed right from the start.
Was a pointless signing, made to help shore up Felix. Not that I blame Fotheringham at all - if a Championship club wanted to sign me, I would give it a crack even knowing I would likely fail. Magath is entirely responsible. Honestly, this move is best for all parties. At Fotheringham's age, he needs to find a suitable club where he is playing and can prove himself worthy of a contract for next season. He is not going to play for us (we have Parker/LVC/Hyndman/Fofana/Tunnicliffe, and plenty of youngsters ahead of him) and there is no point in continuing to pay him to not even warm the bench. All the best for the future Mark. We're all better off right now, including you.
Completely wasted talent - I remember how highly rated he was as a youngster and watching this video around the time he was tipped to be a world beater by the folks at Championship Manager. He never made the most of it - he had a chance with us but stayed a fat boy. Cheerio. Cheerio. Cheerio.
