Back at Bury: "Pleased to say I have signed on loan back at bury fc! Hopefully improve on my appearance record from last season". Good move, hope he bags a few goals.
He was injured pretty much his whole spell though. If he scores early on I reckon he'll bag a few for them.
Good news just need to get Cooper and Cairney out on loan now to championship clubs with recall clauses. Unless either or both are finally in a managers first team plans of course, which I'd be very happy for.
It wouldn't surprise me if we're still after another striker after Bruce's comments about a more direct style of play and "glaring attacking frailties this pre season". Simpsons gone to sleep after scoring against Ferriby and Winterton. Macca's only got one all pre season hasn't he?
Good news for Cullen. Its make or break time for him. Bury is a good club for Cullen to either put up or shut up. If it does not work out for him we could well see Cullen @ either Gateshead or Darlington one day.!!!
The Norwich and Rotherham games will be massive for both Simpson and McLean. It may well be the bench for these 2 anyways now. On ability alone it has to be Fryatt and Proschwitz that start from Brighton.
Cant see that, who at that level would take them? And it would defeat the object with Tom, he needs a season at a real ****hole to buck his ideas up and remind him he isnt a Premier League player any more.
Sadly Cullen`s career path is definitely following that of Bradshaw, despite the obvious enthusiasm he showed during his debut season, I just don`t think he has enough size, nowse or quality to do it on a regular basis at this level, good Div 2 striker me thinks (sadly). Just on a note about the SB comment of being more direct, I suspect rather then hoof ball, he meant we need to get it forward more quickly when in possession, rather then stringing fifteen passes across the middle of the park and allowing the opposing midfield and defence to get their shape. We are a good footballing outfit, but we do need the killer ball delivering quicker. At least that`s what I hope he meant !!! No doubt time will tell.
Being a striker is the hardest position to play, and if he could make the jump from youth to regular Championship starter, then it would have been an amazing achievement. He gave it a good crack and gave it his all but unfortunately, he just doesn't have the quality needed. This loan will be good for him, and I hope he finds his goal scoring boots and some League 2 side signs him permanently and he can make a Career for himself.
Well if he finds his scoring boots in league one you'd hope a league one club would take him at least. If this loan is successful then I imagine we'll extend his contract by a year.
But would it be worth the gamble again? I think the Club will hope he scores, so his value increases, then sell him whilst he's at his most valuable. It would be better for him and the Club as he isn't waiting for his chance, he'll be somewhere else playing and making the most of his career and we aren't paying his wages.
Good luck to him hope he does well. He really needs to prove himself this season other wise he's out* *Imagine Duncan Bannatyne saying it
i hope there is a clause to get him back if/when he starts banging em in. This, together with the Bradley news and possible other junior outgoings, (East I hope) is probably indicative of two things - 1) Next years reserve league is going to be even poorer in quality than last season's, 2) We can probably expect more incoming 'last-payday' one season squad players as back-up t what we have. (***an anyone?)
ah ok. Palace really? is he or are they, deluded? next you l be saying Hughes is training with Juventus? Anymore cheap one year last payday pros out there for support that you're aware of
