Clattenburg (a known Newcastle United fan) gave a penalty to Norwich at the weekend for absolutly **** all - never a penalty in a million years.... Now a conspiracy theorist may say that, as a Newcastle fan, he thinks in that split second "Hmmm They're playing Sunderland next week and could do with a confidence booster" and so gave them a penalty for nothing!!
he actually started off ,in the morpeth sunday league ,as mike oliver ( who use to play aswell) as for clattenberg , seen him in the metro centre last year with his lass ,he loves himself like .. seemed a canny enough lad , but you could tell he was going to the top like. just the way he went on and what ive noticed a few friends here and there help ..
He won't be - the refs association have a rule where you are not allowed to ref any game involving a club or rival of a club you support(ed) Changed since the days fo Graham Courtney (A known SAFC fan) who opften refereed the derby back in the day but always seemed to have a decent and impartial game - **** I'd love to ref the next derby - send off 2 of their players in the first 5 minutes just so we have a chance of a draw!! By the way this is light hearted - I don't for one second believe that Mark Clattenburg was looking for a way to give Norwich confidence for when they play us
I wish Norwich had scored that penalty and won, they'll come here much more determined to get the points. Just hope someone has a Frazier Campbell moment and scores a screamer to set us on our way
Their heads dropped when Boruc saved the penalty Parker - hopefully it'll have a detrimental effect - what worries me more is the fact that they got a penalty for so little - Holt threw himself to the ground - if that had been Suarez or Bale there'd be hell on about the dive now - it wasn't a foul in any way and what worries me is that if they get that against Southampton they are likely to get absolutely everything against us!!
He lives in Seaham. I am sure if any of the lads thought that he'd be getting a knock on his door late one evening.
