Mark Lawrenson has gone for a 2-0 home win for Newcastle United against Birmingham City on Saturday.

According to Lawro's predictions for the season, this would put Newcastle in 10th place on 46 points while Birmingham would be in 16th place on 31 points.

Don't we only have 41 points? ... what a tool he really is!

EDIT: ahh, that where we'd be if his predictions were all correct...still a tool though!

He has Wigan on about 16 points, and Man U near 90. Doesnt understand that better teams dont win every game. Although if he's got us down for a win, I'm not so confident.

That's the problem with predictions. Top teams like Manchester United should theoretically beat pretty much every team below them. They will always lose a few games, but choosing which games they are is basically a random guess.

Feel less confident of winning now that Lawro has picked us to win though.

He isn't the best predictor on the box. Bit of a Jonas (no pun intended) too!

Little bit of good news, the only time he's picked us to win and then we've lost is gameweek 29 against Everton, gameweek 12 against Blackburn and Blackpool gameweek 4.
