http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footba...-welcome-move-to-swansea-city-91466-29100241/ Sounds like, and maybe it's just me, that there might be one or two agents left in football who care about one or two other things as well as money! My mate sent me a few links to stories tieing us to Pavone, one of which was by the same journalist who broke the Rangel story (when he signed a contract) which makes me hopefuly too. Looking at his stats on his wiki, he isn't prolific... but then again he's never played for the Swans before! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mariano_Pavone
Yeah - I agree, he seems to be having attention, but i would have through i'd be wowed by his stats.... be nice to know some more about him before i pass judgement.
Now also being reported on sky sports news http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12874_7055032,00.html
Pavone and Stockdale, we're in for both and if you can believe the quotes Jol is trying his best to contrive a loan to us for Stockdale. I really like what we've done this close season. Despite getting a late start because of the playoffs, from what I have seen, we have been the most aggressive of the three that got promoted. We have added quality and depth. QPR are on the verge of losing Taarabt and Routledge is not going back to them. Norwich seem to have made little to no waves. And we might still get Routledge. Feeling very good indeed about this season. Take the bookies odds on anything before they wise up.
we are doing just fine with the team we have now and Brendon will get 2 or 3 more by the time the window closes, because of our wage structure we will be linked to many players that we cant afford but as the window draws nearer to closing these players holding out for high wages tend to drop their demands to a more reasonable level, so there is no need to worry to much as players will be fighting to join clubs like ours when the time starts to run out to find a club. the players hold the upper hand at this time but the closer it gets to the window closing the uper hand moves in favour of clubs........
Yes some our fans need to be a bit more patient, the players we want will come in when the time is right and we can get them at the price we want to pay. We have a limited budget compared to nearly all the other prem teams but still think we will be able to compete if we bring in a couple more quality players plus another keeper to give us more depth to the squad.

Looks better than useful, bongo. He showed pace, excellent positional sense, shooting power and clinical finishing. Something else I'm always banging on about - he seems to be genuinely two footed. That is such a HUGE bonus for a striker as it doesn't matter which side the defender shows him. If we can get him I think he'd be a terrific asset for us based on those clips. I think that he'd still have to adjust to British football but I'm sure Buck will see that he gets the right coaching. Wait and see time. Perhaps he'll sign for sensible money to put himself in the Premiership shop window.
He looks really good and if we can sign him i think it would be a really good move, especially considering according to reports Liverpool have shown an interest in him. Looking into his form did show me how messed up the football league system is down there though!!! they have 2 19 game seasons down there, take average over 3 years and then they have play offs to replace teams. You would be more than peeved off if you were a River Plate fan given that in the 2 leagues last season they finished 4th and 9th and finished 6th overall if you mix the 2 yet got relegated!! mental!! But on a positive Pavone note they scored 36 goals and he got 9 of them!
we have'nt added depth, there's more player's gone than come in, also norwich have signed a lot more than us including kyle naughton, so if that's little to no waves, then we've barely made a ripple.
aye, but we've lost dorus and darren, another 2 quality player's. so like i said, we've added no depth, but kept player's who wer'nt good enough in the championship.
While they are not the same positions, I'd say from the sounds coming out of WHL, and what I've seen of Graham, they are both at a better standard than Dorus and Pratters. Obviously, this only has slight relevance given that they don't replace those players, but if we sign players (for the positions still needed) at the level of Graham and Caulker then I will be very very, happy indeed.
