When he first joined us, I was the only poster who applauded his arrival. A snip at the price, I commented many times....I was castigated...nay verbally abused...but I stuck to my guns and he has proved me worthy.after it had to be said, an uncertain start!
I just wonder how much he would command today, after all they are calling him...wait for it...gold dust! What a nugget I say...what a hoot!

World class! Never, not even international standard, a good solid defender and a good leader on the pitch nothing more. Not even sure he'd survive in the premiership for more than one season. Although I'm sure the guys who see him week in week out will have a much more balanced view than myself.

When you say International standard hes not good enough for England.

But hes easily good enough for Wales.

Hes had a brilliant season and has improved dramatically under Malky and his staff.

His problem is lack of pace. If he was quick hed be a top player.

To me he has got better season by season while at the same time the quality of those around and in front of him has generally improved.

I think he sees this season as the real deal to take us to the Prem and as a result he is putting himself on the line more than before while also showing his captain's credentials in encouraging, cajolling and bollocking the team when needed.

We know his lack of pace is his main weakness but maybe his anticipation has improved to offset this.

Prem top quality? Not at the highest level but could well do a job in a mid to lower Prem side - again depending on who is in the team with him.

We were all concerned when Jolly Rog left and most were not impressed when Hudson arrived - on the back of his performances for other clubs against us and the views of their fans - however he has shown himself over time to be worth every penny we paid for him so good luck to the guy for fighting back in the face of adversity and being a great asset to the club. <ok>

Didn't see this and I actually posted a thread up about Hudson as well.
When he was first signed it was the outlay that was questioned not his form. I thought people were too quick to judge him however as he struggled to begin with carrying some niggling injuries, but now I think we have the best center back in the division.

We can safely say he was worth every penny now :)
