I'm not defending what he did, but none of us has the whole picture of what happened.
I'm only aware that he was convicted of GBH without intent after punching a 60 year old woman in the face because I read it on Wiki.
I don't know whether there were mitigating circumstances (as he claims) or aggravating ones.
It may well be that he is the kind of scumbag character that his crime appears to indicate.
I'm simply reluctant to judge the man in the round when I only have a tiny fraction of the information about him that might support such a judgment.
