HAHA Marca newspaper recently released a quote, supposedly from Gareth Bale, saying to Levy " You made me a promise, a promise that if we didnt qualify for the Champions League and a good offer came in, you'd listen to it. Well, that offer has arrived and I want to play for Real Madrid. So keep your word and negotiate. I am not interested in Manchester United or any other club, I only want to play for Real Madrid!" Sound familiar? It should because Marca published the following quote from Luka Modric in 2012: " You made me a promise, a promise that if we didnt qualify for the Champions League and a good offer came in, you'd listen to it. Well, that offer has arrived and I want to play for Real Madrid. So keep your word and negotiate. I am not interested in Manchester United or any other club, I only want to play for Real Madrid!" HAHA ****ing Mugs! did they think they would get away with that?! Haha, yeah I read about that the otherday. Absolutely mad the nonsense that they can get away with. I think Marca should be allowed to tap phones so they can actually get some accurate information to print for once.
Thanks Bondanki, but we have already run that in our Bale thread, but what do you expect from Reals mouthpiece, they have also said it was a done deal,a few weeks ago!
Lol it's priceless isn't it!!! There's been some awful journalism and bullshit this summer, but that's the stand out one for me. Absolute ****ing idiots!
With the low level critical abilities of so many readers the media believes it doesn't have to try, and most of the time their belief is well founded. Not this time though!
The Spanish public are different to us, they like being drip fed this ****, Madrid do it just to make it look like they're trying their hardest, and they fall for it. In this country we see them as trying their hardest to look like incompetent tosspots...and they're making a complete success of it.
It's spread to the British press too - Neymar constantly linked to Chelsea despite the player saying he wouldn't move to England, or Fabregas being linked to Man Utd this summer, are fine examples of Marca-esque reporting (among many, many others)
Bale is going nowhere. He never was. That is all that anyone needs to know about this subject. Believe in Cliff Jones, not Real propaganda or jealous wums. Keeping Bale will not only be a massive win for us, but also for the EPL - the best league in world football.
I remember this from the other day, but don't those quotes sound extremely similar to Suarez's recent comments?
I'm still waiting for the day that Marca quotes someone from this board........ I had dinner with Bale last night and he said that he wasn't injured and has been pulled out of training until the transfer is concluded. He is willing to stay at Spurs but his preference is Madrid and he has urged Levy to be reasonable about the payment structure, which is the sticking point.
