... likely played his last game for us ... and deserving of a dedicated thread.

Epitomises everything the club has been built on - an excellent professional and one of those that when part of the right team ascends to become much more than his individual talent or monetary worth.

Every great team in history has had a mix of 'stars' and those that enable those stars to shine at their brightest.

Marc was never the brightest star in the Leicester City teams that won the title and the FA Cup ... but he was an intrinsic and irreplaceable part of that whole success story.

Him and also the likes of Wes Morgan and Robert Huth were dismissed as journeymen past their best on arrival at the club - instead they formed part of the bedrock that took the club to impossible, unimaginable, heights ...

Thank you Mr Albrighton and all the very best in whatever you do next <cheers>

Well said, Fosse. Absolutely spot on. A coach's dream and the best free-transfer we have ever had. You can add Danny Simpson to the likes of Morgan and Huth. Another underrated member of that squad. The Premier league will never see the likes of that team ever again. All credit to Pearson and Walsh. They knew how to assemble a team.

Great shout on Danny Simpson mate <ok>

Well said Fosse, others have mentioned that the word legend gets bounded about too easily, but to me he is a true club legend and always with a smile. Well played Kevin!
