I thought he was superb when he came on. He has to start next week for me, don't get why he plays 20 mins and disappears for a month. If he play like that then him will start everyweek
See Mrs Albrightons reaction to alleged NP sacking/ not Pearson signing! Criminal that he hasn't featured more this season. Np's personal pride vs. what's best for club.
Rumoured that MA was not a NP signing, his wifes comments on alleged NP sacking add credence to this. MA has not let the team down when he has played but has never been given a fair chance compared to some of the other players.
You really think anyone other then NP is signing the players? Maybe Albrighton's attitude or performances in training is the reason. Theres not always a scandal going on
His crossing is far better than anyone else we have in the team, really shook up the WHU defence today.
And that's why it has been so frustrating not seeing him selected, even as substitute, week in week out. I think he is the only outfield player, possibly Knockheart, who hasn't been given a fair chance this season. Hopefully this will change now.
Before we get carried away, as well as he has played, we have to remember that he plays in the same position as Mahrez who is head and shoulders above the the rest (in an attacking sense) so rightly isnt in the team as a better player is ahead of him - hence why Spurs are rumoured to want Mahrez rather than Albrighton
Id agree with that but hes definately is good enough if Mahrez was to go for megabucks in the summer. If Mahrez was to go, right wing would still be nowhere near my main concern.
I hope Spurs get Mahrez! IMO he his a fancy dan player he might beat a player or two but there is no end result. I think he his a greedy player who does not pass the ball to a player in a better position, Instead he goes for glory and with two goals this season its not a good enough return! He his to lightweight and easily knocked of the ball, and if he his tackled hard he does not want to know and goes missing( the villa cup match was a prime example). We play much better as a team when Albrighton plays, just a pity NP don't realize it.
Ive got to disagree. I think Mahrez, for a player of his style, actually puts in a real team shift and shows no signs of thinking he is above the rest and works hard. I think his head is definately screwed on right and will go on to have a big career in the game.
Mahrez has been pretty darn good this season but he will improve even more if he could deliver a great ball instead of shooting every time. Think he is getting pretty easy for the opposition to read, couple of jinks cut in to his left foot and shoot. Getting predictable.
Even though they know he is going to cut in, he still manages to do so and glide past them. Could do a bit more with his right foot but if he could do all these things we are saying then he would be a Real Madrid rather than us!
So if he his so good why does he not show his class in all our home games when we have failed to break teams down? In all our good sides we have had a player who can get down the wing and whip a cross into the box. MON had Guppy, Wallace had Lynex, Bloomfield had Glover and Matt Gillies had Stringfellow. I really believe that if Albrighton was given a run in the side we would see the best out of Ulloa.
agreed. But in my opinion, and i accept there will be a large camp that think differently, we are better off seeing the best of mahrez and current ulloa than the best of ulloa by sacrifcing mahrez. Thats a whole new debate though really!
Mahrez is the one player apart from Knockaert capable of creating a goal or chance out of nothing One week they will he brillaint and the next week pants. Just the nature of that type of player.
Mahrez tends to stand out when the team's playing poorly, but Albrighton's probably a better option when the team's confident, as he can deliver such good crosses that we'll create plenty of chances. They're actually very different players so it's not really fair to compare, though I don't see why both can't be incorporated, especially with the 4-2-3-1 formation we played yesterday. Mahrez was certainly poor yesterday, but he has been after international breaks. With both Mahrez and Albrighton in the team we could pose an attacking threat, with Vardy and Kramaric getting on the end of their passes and crosses there would be a lot of pace and trickery to be up against!
A lot of managers have no choice in the matter when an owner decides to change the structure. I think it is always best for the manager/coach to buy his own choice of players.
