We'll I'd only just got back from work you ****, so I didn't go trawling through your reams and reams of endless comments
Pretty funny though Berb lost the plot on the Utd board last night and ended up getting banned, so he's having to use his other account now
If Shwan had spoken to the police like he posts on here they wouldn't have understood a ****ing word he said
We look at that decision and we know it was a stretch, but let's face it, nowhere near as bad as some of the decisions we have had. But for United (and SAF) who are so used to getting the benefit of the doubt from English referees this must have been a dreadful shock to their system. I mean, strickly speaking, it was reckless because any "dangerous play" that makes contact is reckless. And it was done with enough force to cause serious injury, so the ref was well within his boundaries to give a red. You probably have a referee from the continent, who already thinks that the English game is barbaric and feels the need to protect the Real Madrid players, so its a no-brainer for him. If we want British football to improve we need to stop making allowances for these smaller clubs who haven't evolved. Reading, Southampton, Wigan and Swansea (amongst others) have shown that you don't need to foul your way all over the field in order to win, even though you are a smaller club (no offence intended). Until we get referees willing to call 10 straight fouls in a row against teams like Stoke, and actually protect our skilled players, we are going to continue to decline as a footballing nation. All the rhetoric about tackling being a dying art and all the crap that goes with it is pure nonsense. There was nothing about Nani's tackle (or a host of othe dangerous tackles we have seen recently) that could be recommended to young players.
