Our record in Spain is superb even if get owned in the CAmp Nou on Tue. It is our record v English clubs that has cost us in Europe: Liverpool and United. Our eliminations v Barca and Inter (plus refs), we could do little about! UNited are excellent in Europe bar Spain
Whatever is said --our record --in spite of never winning it is impressive! A JT penalty away in one final, a dodgy referee keeping us out of another final and 6 s/f appearances in the last 9 seasons! Frustrating--but we'll get there! Maybe this year!!! Who knows?
As it goes we've beaten Barcelona in the European cup winners cup final in 1991, we knocked them out in the semi of the CL the year we beat you lot to win it and also famously beat them in the 1984 ecwc quarters. Then in the 1999 CL winning year we drew home and away with them so the truth is we do rather well against Barca.

Most of us aren't at all. I should have added to my above post, which you rather conveniently ignored, that our record against Valencia is pretty good too so the reality is it's only Real who we've been consistently **** against. Ok, Barca have beaten us soundly in two CL finals but, for all your posturing and mega success against Barca, these are two more finals that you haven't actually reached.
Stop being paranoid. I am not ignoring you; we just can't reply to every United post on our board. In 07/8 when you beat Barca they were in meltdown under Rikjaard and finished 17 points off the pace in La Liga. It was their worst side in many years. As your post has proved, you have never beaten a vintage Barca side, such as the Dream Team who pumped you 4-0 at the CAmp Nou in the mid-90s
Actually as my post proved only too well we beat a vintage Barca side containing Diego Maradona from 2-0 down in 1984. We also beat a vintage Barcelona team in the 1991 cup winners cup final, they won the European cup the following year.
Barcelona with Maradona were poor sides, finishing third and fourth in La Liga 82/3 and 83/4. Athletico were the best side in Spain then, whom Liverpool beat in the European Cup. The Cruyff dream team peaked 92 maybe 93 for me, when they signed Romario. Are you sure you even supported United then? Or even liked football
