26 mins - Yaya Mangane? He's strode forward into midfield a few times now as he's sick of Laidler not moving to the ball. What a hero. #SAFC

    Gavin Henderson @GavinSAFC
29 mins - Mangane at the heart of everything, and another attack started from the back. He's already our best centre back (ever?). #SAFC

    Gavin Henderson @GavinSAFC
50 mins - Everton keeper holds onto the ball too long and the onrushing Noble almost scores, a la Lukaku in Saturday, Mangane running the show like! #SAFC

64 mins - Mangane has decided to go up front! Mazy run. #SAFC stroking it around, why can't the first team play like this?

Big step up from the U21's to EPL but lets at least give him some game time.

With his height he must be a threat at set pieces or alt; at least be able to take players out of the way thus creating chances for others

Big step indeed, however, the good signs are that it sounds as though he has took ownership of this game and is orchestrating everything.

.........Not bad for a debut, in a new country, albeit with the kids. Nevertheless he sounds hungry !

Got to agree RFM. Lets see him in the big league. If he's half as good as Chris Samba it will be a bonus.

MONsaid Alife was closer than Magane to playing, watching how unfit Alfie is this is scarey, admittidly there is less running at the back.

Don't worry when it comes, it will be a 7-0 win in the champions league final.

Haha oh how sweet that would be!

I'd settle for a beach ball goal from us and you having 5 goals wrongly disallowed. At least we'd break the curse!
