Would you be tempted to sell now?

Whatever is posted below, there is still almost no chance of them leaving now, it wouldn't be a good deal for anyone.

I didn't give my view. Also it's not like either have been outstanding in a poor squad.

I think it all depends on how desperate other teams are. Utd coming in with £35-40m bid for Mane would be tempting. But then players in Jan usually cost far more then the off season.

If we got £50m for both, and RK was immediately given access to £35m to spend. Well, I'd be tempted.

But that's probably only because I'm in a grump with them both today. Either way, they both need a serious boot up the backside.

If we were offered £20 million for Victor I'd let him go at the end of the season. He has been a shadow of his former self since Morgan left, and as we saw today, can have brain farts as destructive as he is at his best. No way would I part with him now though.

Mané is a completely different case, and is still capable of winning a match on his own. He'll probably leave in the summer but I wouldn't want him to go.

I would sell Wanyama now without a problem. We have Romeu and Reed that can do that job. We could also use the money to add to our attacking options.

I would keep Mane because he could be the difference between us finishing mid table or being drawn into the relegation battle because he will have a run of form at some point. Look to sell in the summer IF the price is right and I mean like you suggest £30m+

Unless it's an unbelievable offer (£40m or more), I wouldn't even consider selling Mane. We wouldn't be able to replace him over the course of transfer window, in my view (and we'd be potentially screwed if we didn't replace him).

But Wanyama, it's a totally different story. For me he's been poor for a while now - the Arsenal game aside, when he was right back on it (I wonder why?) - and today's red card just had the feeling of last straw. He was truly awful in the home game against Spurs, for example, in my view.

If someone wants to offer us £20m for him, then absolutely accept. He'd almost certainly be off in the summer any way, due to only having 12 months left on his contract. So what's five months earlier? We wouldn't even necessarily need to use any of the funds raised to directly replace him. Romeu and Reed could easily be given more game time between them, between now and May, as makeshift cover. If that £20m gets us a decent striker and winger, then it would be a massive thumbs up from me.

No. Feel like the squad already thinks that there's naught to play for, and selling them now -- even if one believes that they were underperforming and the money could be reinvested well -- would send exactly the wrong messages. Namely, that if you look toward the exit, we'll gladly find you a new home...and again that we won't aim to improve the team unless we're selling off our starters first.

Now, benching Wanyama for a couple games, and bringing in another couple attacking players to put pressure on our starters? That we can and should do.

Part of it depends on WHEN the bid comes in IMHO .

Bid now , think about it , bid so late that IF we accept OUR choices of replacements are limited ? not a chance !

    FWIW .

I hope we keep both until the end of the season , and then the January window is scrapped .

The worry for me is that both look at times disinterested, both blowing hot and cold depending on the opposition they are up against. Not a great model for the other players but unfortunately they are our best 2 players.
Difficult situstion which I fear could get messy?

So Mane was sulking it seems. Looks like he wants to go.

    Would anyone be surprised?

It's exactly what he did at Salzburg, which is why they all booed him when we played them in a preseason friendly.

Not really. If true it changes my view of keeping him until end of season. I say £30m+ then bye.

I said I would have sold Mane for 30m before the season even started. Would still do it.

If someone offers us 20m for Wanyama, I might let him go as well. I'm not nearly as annoyed by Wanyama as I am Mane, but he's in all likelihood leaving anyway, and I feel like we might as well move on to Reed/Romeu if someone meets our valuation.

Only reinforces the belief that we're an import/export business rather than a football club, though.

I would rather sell then have a guy sulking and making the atmosphere even worse. We are playing poorly enough as it is, we don't need a player making it worse. Then use the cash to buy some good championship players.

Or get back to the 50% aim ;) Settle for lower mid table for a few years and bed in some of the youngsters. Stop the talk of 'knocking on the door' or 'aiming at Europe' which are halting the '50%' aim.
