I say let WHU have him. £100k and £15m is barmy.
The porn peddlars just don't learn.

Andy Carroll is due at West Ham today to undergo a medical and take a big step closer to his £15.5million switch from Liverpool.

However, reports emerging this morning (Tuesday) suggest newly appointed Newcastle director of football, and former manager, Joe Kinnear, has his eye on bringing Carroll back to St James’ Park as his first signing.

David Kent of the Daily Mail says:

The new director of football wants to re-sign the striker who went from Tyneside to Liverpool for £35million in 2011.

The transfer saga of Carroll has been long-running though and a last gasp attempt to take him to Newcastle could be too little too late for Kinnear and Alan Pardew. Although, the forward was previously reported to prefer a move back to his hometown club.

Liverpool agreed a fee with West Ham over the permanent sale of Carroll last month, after the England striker spent a successful season on-loan in East London.

All that is left for Carroll to do is agree personal terms with Sam Allardyce’s side and pass his medical, which is expected to take place today.

    Monday’s London Evening Standard report:

The England international has been out of the country on holiday but it is understood he will fly in for his physical assessment with the Hammers tomorrow.

Carroll made 58 appearances for Liverpool following his £35million move from St James’ Park in January 2011, scoring 11 times.

During the 2012/13 season, he scored 7 goals in 22 appearances for the Hammers, becoming a crowd favourite as Allardyce’s men finished 10th in the Premier League.

He's injured til fcking October, or something, isn't he? No, we don't need this kid. I expect less could secure PEA, or Bony, or two from the Champ (Rhodes/Austin).

It's probably the people behind him rather than AC who are coming up with the figures, but if we can get Bony for a fraction of that it's a no brainer.

Much more likely to feff up the whole of our own transferr process to be honest.
Confusion abounds already, and still nothing from the club, as JFK insults our players and the fans.
This rubbish needs sorting and soon, we don't need this right now, we really don't.

confirmed by the club now- the below statement is on their website.

Newcastle United have appointed Joe Kinnear as the Club's new Director of Football on a three-year deal.
Joe will report directly to the club's Board as the senior executive in charge of all football-related matters. Chief scout Graham Carr and manager Alan Pardew will report into Joe.
Managing Director Derek Llambias said: "The board are pleased to welcome Joe back to the club. Joe has many years of experience working within the game, and this experience will be of great benefit to the Club in achieving our objectives over the coming seasons."
Joe Kinnear first arrived at United in September 2008, initially as Interim Manager, following the departure of Kevin Keegan.

Joe had previously had a successful seven-year management spell with Wimbledon and as a player enjoyed a fine ten-year career with Tottenham, during which time he won 26 Republic of Ireland caps.

I don't think this transfer makes any sense if the reported figures are anywhere near accurate. So it will probably happen.

We've got a walking heart attack for a Director of Football who is as thick as ****. We'll never sign the likes of Bony now. We'll be bringing in complete British ****. He's talking about signing Conference players for Wimbledon, getting obscure players for free or pittance and selling them on. Bet Ashley loved this business plan. Is this what we have to look forward to now? I've seen a lot of Conference football in recent years and the standard is ****ing awful.

Was going to say thanks for the update, but I am now in shreds, l was living in hope that JFK was having some form of Pshychotic episode and would be carted off by the men in White coats, bit alas, it is true.
I am devastated by the shear stupidity of this. Christ sakes, the man can't even pronounce the players names properly, and who is this Italian, Lambarsi ?

Do we still get a 'sell on' fee for Carroll? Anyone know how much / what percentage?

of any profit we make. Highly doubt we were so incredibly thick as to put a sell-on fee in the event we sell him at 60% write-down.

    Carroll 6 years contract

undisclosed fee, but I bet Ashley is banging on the door of Liverpools office as we speak

    http://www.whufc.com/articles/20130619/hammers-capture-carroll_2236884_3213933

    from the Chron

Andy Carroll has completed his move to West Ham United from Liverpool.

Newcastle United opted not to make a move for the Geordie striker this summer.

And instead he has made a permanent switch to the East End after penning a lucrative six year deal.
