I'm rapidly losing respect for Manchini. He appeared to be one of the sports gentlemans initially. However as soon as results started going awry he has shown his true colours. Waving imaginary cards, hypocrisy regarding the Johnson / Kompany tackles and complete nonsense he's spouted since last nights deserved defeat at Anfield. Gracious in defeat? No.
If he's still bleating on about the penalty then he really owes it to himself and the City fans to go & read the bloody rule book!
I don't think he's much different than a lot of managers in the PL, a bit more eccentric perhaps, but it's good to have managers with a bit of character. They're all hypocrites, and they all drivel nonsense from time to time.
Some say the Peno was harsh, I would agree if his hands were down by his sides when a ball deflected off a foot/knee but his arms were up like a goalkeeper and the decision was right. If we are talking about Adam's challenge here then that was a peno. I had respect for Mancini after the Sunderand game when they lost in the final minute with an offside goal, he blamed his players there...so why the change Robbo?
As things stand they City be barred from entering the CL in 2014(should they qualify)due to the Uefa fair play rules its been reported. According to SSN Uefa are prepared to go through the courts to implement the rule if needs be. So Mancini wont be spashing the cash this year or next and he'll be back in Italy next season if Utd win the league this season.
I think the pen was harsh tbh, but Liverpool dominated the game throughout and deserved to win. He's just clutching at straws. How many times are stick-on penalties denied? Them's the breaks, as they say. Manch should concern himself more with the (relatively) poor performance of his side over both legs rather than bleat about the ref.
The pen was harsh but we we were the better team over the two leg's and deserevd to go through. We would have pasted them 3 time's this season but for Joe Hart so we deserved a bit of luck we have had very little luck all season.
Although we've had the performances, we've just not stuck it in the net often enough! And been punished as a result. I can see him being disappointed by the pen, but them's the breaks. Of course, you can understand reactions from managers when a microphone is stuck under their nose and they are asked the question by a journo hoping for a tasty quote. He should know better than that by now...
He's just seeking to deflect blame from his players, they're under enough pressure as it is. Every manager does this from time to time, it was quite astonishing to see KD do the opposite at the weekend.
So astonishing that due to Kenny bollocking them in public we knocked the league leaders out of theCC semi final just a few days later. A kick up the arse is sometimes the best remedy.
I'm finding Mincini very tedious atm to. I notice City players stay down a lot after going down, even if they are not injured, and similar things like that. I can kind of imagine him telling them to do this. He is a good manager, but him and Balotelli put a serious risk on his team reputation.
What I find funny is how he doesn't point out that Yakubu got sent off a few weeks ago for a tackle similar to the one Savic performed on Agger in the first leg. Savic never even got booked. When the results are going his way it's "We played well" but when they start to lose he runs around like a twat waving cards and slating others.
