Having "Missed most of the club's targets this season". They only came 2nd in the league and got to a cup final Sweet Jesus!
It is just getting ridiculous.... I would support the FA making reasonable for setting realistic goals for teams (negotiated with clubs). The manager has 10 games at the start of the season to get them in that bracket it he fails over 5 or 10 games to get the team where they should be then he can be sacked, other than that no sacking. It's got beyond a joke!
Agreed, it is crazy when you consider what they have achieved. Suspect this is more down to employment legalities. If he's no longer their choice for the job perhaps they need to link it to performance (i.e. missing targets) rather than just saying we don't want you any more. He might have a tribunal case otherwise.
I doubt that any penalty a tribunal would be empowered to impose would worry their owners. It's just vanity.Having put the kind of money into the club that they have they expect success to follow automatically.Well, life doesn't work like that even if you are an oil sheikh.Maybe it does in their spoilt child world but not in the real one that exists on the streets of Manchester.Mancini seemed a decent sort of chap,a disappointing season perhaps but he has one ok. Interesting to contrast this with the euphoria around our club brought about by survival.I know which one I prefer.
So Wenger barely gets Arsenal into the CL without silverware for 8 years and keeps his job, whereas bobby manc gets fired after a more successful year? madness!
Man City are a joke. Overpaid and unmotivated, their performance in the final was shocking and I am delighted that Wigan won. They only have one solution to everything and that is to chuck money at it. I hope that the financial fair play comes in because they should get relegated on that basis.
