I'm looking forward to the match but we're going to have to raise our game if we want to win. We're at OT though so we should be up for it.

Any news on Cleverly? I thought he should have been back by now.

I heard hes not far but wont be back for Sunday.
I rekon we will be well up for it and so will they. Should be a cracking game.

I rekon start welbeck up front with Rooney just behind. Young on the left nani on the right fletch and ando in the middle. Vida and ferdinand with evra and smalling at rb.
Nani looked bright near the end of the champions league game so hopefully well see some magic.

Citeh will be on a high after agueros last minute winner last night.
We love snatching it from them in the last minute tho!!!

im very worried if he plays a side anything like he did against liverpool we will get battered,i cant believe he played such weak side, giggs is passed it now should never start games neither should park, and he starts with jones in midfield and leaves proper midfielders on the bench.im fuming we are now going into a game we just cant lose against a very good city side,( god that hurt to say ) our midfield at the moment is so weak, fletcher back to his mediocre self carrick worse midfieder we have had, anderson not sure yet and our best midfielder out injured (cleverley).

I can't see that happening though, the way he sent us out last week indicated that he saw a draw as a good result and that we'd be targeting home wins against our rivals with away draws. If we achieve that, we've already beaten Chelsea and Arsenal at home, then the league takes care of itself really.

I can see that point but last week was dire so I fully expect a team sent out to win the City game. There's bound to be a degree of caution though, It'll be interesting to see the side Mancini sends out as he's an instinctively defensive manager and it could well be they approach it with a draw in mind.

city are in form at the moment, but haven't faced all the teams we have and have come out intact, I hope we don't show them any respect, but no naivety in the same token. play for the win as we're the home side (and we're United) if it's a draw that's bonus, as city had there's last week from us drawing. If it is a draw, we should go for nothing less tha a draw in the return match.

Rushomle Ruffian how can RM be defensive minded when we have scored more goals then any other team in the prem. Please explain that one if you can.

tunns why are you worring about the return match that is a long way of yet, and who knows by then the prem may have already been won.

City dont look very good against good sides.

their CL games prove this. Its al well and good thrashing poor sides but they are lucky to still be in the CL. Hopefully Fergie has looked at those games and knows what to do.

31 - Man City have netted 31 goals so far this season, no side has ever scored more after 9 PL matches. Prolific.

Over the last few years Mancini has had an excellent attack force but played very defensive. This season you have played attacking Football and reaped the benefits. If Mancini were to revert to his defensive ways it would be games against last years top 6. You've only played Spurs from the category.

Hope fergie goes for all 3 points as we are at home. Nani HAS to play, this year he always ups his game for the big games.

    We'll play 4-4-2, I'm 99% sure about that.

    Hope we go something like:

    De Gea
    Smalling
    Vidic
    Rio
    Evra
    Nani
    Carrick
    Ando
    Young
    Rooney
    Welbeck

Let Ando do what he does best and not have a role that is pretty undefined when he plays with Fletcher. I'll back Young to put in a performance, I think he will be better suited to OT and a more open game. I've gone for Welbeck instead of Hernandez just because I think we need someone upfront that has the ability to turn on the ball and run at their defence and Welbeck is far, far better with the ball at his feet. Whether or not he has the striking ability of Hernandez has yet to be seen really but again, I'll back him to put in a performance.

there will be about 10 matches left by the return match, and quite simply do not want city to take more points of us than us, on current both teams cancel each other out so on that basis every point counts so apart from local pride united cannot afford for city to get the upperhand playing us.

i said to RR earlier in the season that city didn't concern me, i was naive to think otherwise, as city are smashing that theory, and and i;m not soft in the head to think that they are just going to fold and go aawy anytime soon

This could be a cracking game if Mancini sticks with the attacking football City have been playing, and United carry on attacking like they have been doing. With United's wide open midfield and City's back line there could be goals. But I have a feeling Mancini might revert to last season and play fairly cautiously.

I'll assume Sky have been flogging this game to death as the greatest game ever to be played and the most important game in the history of football, so it will probably be dull as ****.

    Hope not
