As a preamble to tonight's match-day thread, the game is being streamed live on Amazon Video. It is possible to sign up for a 30-day free trial with Amazon Prime and watch the game on smart a TV with the Amazon Prime app, or on phone or computer. Might be a good thing to try, especially at this time of year, as your trial period will cover free home delivery on Amazon purchases - handy for Christmas.

Team news - a good side IMO, nice to see Darren Fletcher Mkll back in the midfield, better still, Pereira is on the bench. In this fixture he is a red card waiting to happen. I reckon 2 - 1 to us after a contentious James penalty.

Theres a lot of talk about how the whole team is 'bang average' (tm - Talksport) but the reality is, it is young and lacks experience.

Clearly, based on this team, we do need at least four players still. Those four need to not be young, or plucked out of the academy.

Replace Young, Lindelof, Lingard and Greenwood with like for like finished articles and we have a decent first team and squad again.

Gonna cost £240 million to do that though. And a new manager in summer.

Can't really fault us there but conceding just highlights what I mean, only Maguire, De Gea and Wan Bissaka are good enough out of all our defenders.

Also, replace Lingard with a fit Pogba (or a replacement new face) and we'd be a different team.

Lingard is another not up to the scratch required.

    Decent that.

Very annoying we can't play at the same tempo against teams that aren't deemed to be as good as Spurs.

We win at Sheffield United and against Villa and it's fifth, four points behind Chelsea with half a season left.

Ridiculous really. We're only those four players away from challenging, even though they have to be four absolute top drawer players so still loads of work to do.

Let's see what happens next month. If we sign no one, Ole is definitely toast.

If we actually have a couple of signings up our sleeves, who knows how well we can do second half of the season?

As before, this non-specific injury that he's had for god knows how long is crap. We're keeping him out of the public (social media) eye until the window opens. No aggro with Ole, no hostility from the fans and a new, shiny, fit Pogba is available for the next window. Well handled by Ole.

He’s not unfit IMHO. He doesn’t want to play and the manager thinks he’s a ****.

In other news, Wan-Bissaka is a great defender but goes to pieces in the final third.

Perreira maintains his record of never having a good game, even as a sub (what position was he playing?).

He will play some games in the December shop window but (i think) will actually try so he gets a move.

Very well played by Ole and if he gets a replacement or proper striker with the proceeds we will be on our way to a team with a couple more in the summer.
