Next Match: Manchester United v Swansea City
    Fixture: Premier League
    Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester
    Crowd : 75,000

We have travelled a long way since the Hull game when we had had one foot in non league football and, for me, we complete thr journey next Sunday when we travel to the biggest stadium in English League football to play the Champions elect in their own back yard.

    Can the Swans win? <yikes>

This fixture worries me for the simple reason we could take the biggest loss of the season in this game if Man Utd lose to City tonight and then Utd will be upping the anti in the goals difference department.

if man utd beat city then the title will be theirs and we wont lose by many but if they lose then expect all the big guns to cme out and give us a horrid time, either way i think united will be far to strong for us at their place...there wont be any shame in losing to united anyway. liverpool will be looking to finish on a high and i dont think we have enough to beat them at the moment. as long as we dont go to pieces like we did with wolves then im going to enjoy the last two games whatever happens.....there is no pressure on us now so just enjoy and be happy we are safe...

Stranger things have happened but I don't see anything other than a home win unfortunately.

It'll work both ways. If Man Utd score early, we'll have a bloody hard job of battening down the hatches as, like you say, they'll be going for goals. However, given our style of football, and the (albeit walking-pace) game at the Liberty earlier in the season, I think we can frustrate Man Utd. The pressure on them is MASSIVE, whereas the Swans players will just be up for it, playing in the biggest regular season games they've ever played in, and that some players may ever play in! They'll want to get something out of this and if we do score early, I could see the fans, and Man Utd, getting very, very frustrated, very quickly.

I mean, we scored 4 goals on our last outing! How hard can it be to score first at OT?...

I'm worried!! Whatever tonight's result, United will be going flat out for a big score win to improve their goal difference. We struggle to cope with fast moving, hard pressing teams and if we defend anything like we did against Wolves, I fear for us.

I didn't relish the way that Fergie was grinning and licking his lips as he watched us - bit like a tiger eyeing up a tethered goat. We could get a result but it is not likely. I will settle for the lads finding some form and fighting for every minute of the game. If they don't do that, the result could be embarrassing.

Oh, oh!!!! That does it. United will be after us with all guns blazing after that result. I hope that Buck will work the lads well this week because we're gonna need everything we've got to keep United at bay. Thank God we are already safe!

If City beat Newcastle in Sunday then Utd will know it's all over and may be demoralised. If not it let's Utd back in and I fear if that's the scenario they could well muller us.

United's only hope is to hammer us and whoever their last opponents are. I hope we go there with our recognized first XI and no pseudo Plan B in a pipe-dream nonsense, but we play keep ball for 90 minutes and frustrate the crap out of them.
