Derby day is here again, hopefully we can keep our recent run of form going and produce a good result. Good strong team selection but McTominay on the bench.
Williams and James both out of position though, so not ideal. We'll see how it pans, eh? Not getting my balls out and saying we will win, but think we've a decent chance here. #nojinx
Nothing to do with Solskjaer though. He only gets credit when we lose, when we win it's down to someone else. He didn't sign Fernandes either.
Brilliant game, fight and a good game plan combined to create a great win. Fernandes continues to impress and even Martial was playing with a smile on his face at times. Shaw has re-invented himself and the whole side played extremely well. That's what happens when you don't play Lingard and Pereira.
Ole’s signings have been infinitely superior to the signings of any of the clowns who followed Fergie.
Never seen Martial put in a shift like that. The Ighalo signing seems to have given him a kick up the arse.
City's season has gone to ratshit. They cannot regain the PL title, there is no real threat behind them (at the moment ) in the PL and the threat of points deduction by the PL and the loss of CL football is looming large. Half the team's heads will be off on holiday while the rest will have an eye on remaining fit for the Euros in the Summer (if they go ahead).
If their CL ban is upheld, which I don't think it will be, they could be in for a rough couple of seasons. They didn't replace Kompany, David Silva is done and Aguero has had his best years. They'll have to pay absolutely monster wages to bring in quality replacements who will join knowing that there is no prospect of CL football for two seasons.
Reckon the ban will be reduced to one year myself but the point remains, it will still be difficult to replace those players for next season. Pep is a genius who improve players though; time for Stones, Jesus and Foden to step forward I would assume. I haven't got a great deal of sympathy. They've done very well out of it so far and the foundations are there for them to be the pre-eminent club in British football forever. They're obviously massive. Add to that all the new schools, mosques, homeless shelters and pitches they have given to Manchester. Pity they couldn't get those trams working on time so the fans could get to the stadium though, eh?
Stones makes too many mistakes, Jesus is no Aguero, Foden looks class though. Their biggest problem is the fitness of Laporte, it's no coincidence that their drops in form have come when he's injured.
That feeling you have the day after your team have drubbed your local rivals. No matter how **** or mundane your day is turning into, you remember there's something inside making you feel buzzing
