Proper ****er of a game at this point, Utd will be desperate to take the points we need to be calm and get the job done.

Always say the same thing, play the game not the occasion.

We are head and shoulders above this lot, go and show it

THE REFEREE IS A MANCHESTER MAN ? AH ! .ANTHONY TAYLOR WITH THE WISTLE.

Referee: Anthony Taylor (pictured). Assistants: Gary Beswick, Adam Nunn. Fourth official: Craig Pawson. VAR: John Brooks. Assistant VAR: Richard West.

So far this season, Taylor has taken charge of four Liverpool matches, with the Reds winning just one, the New Year’s Day 4-2 against Newcastle at Anfield.

The other fixtures were the opening day draw at Chelsea, the 2-2 at Brighton and the 3-1 defeat at Arsenal.

    yes, yes it is.

In any other scenario i'd take a point right now but we simply have to win.

The showing we've put in in the last 3 (utd fa cup game included) won't be good enough.

Utd have too much threat on the counter and wide for us to be swanning about passing it nowhere with full backs out of position cos the second we lose it they will be in.

    My line up

    Kelleher
    gomez konate VVD RObertson
    Szobo Endo Macca
    Salah Nunez Diaz

We csan't afford two wandering full backs. we have to lock down that left side and if that means gomez at rb then so be it. I want to see genuine width off robbo.

Why we now see fit to swap macca and szobo i do not know. I would perfer to see szobo over on the right running at them and we need to pin in the full backs and engage the mancs CBs who are down to bare bones.

If we score (they are dreadful really) then we cannot stop playing. BAM BAM BAM.

I want to see mancs leaving the ground at ht. one of the best scenes from our recent seasons was just that.

Having Endo fit for this game really is the key, not just defensively, but allowing Macca to play up the pitch. I've got a feeling that, if ok, Jones might start in place of Szobo to give us more control, but Szobo gives more threat going forward.

maybe i just don't know but having Jones to come on rather than the "I don't know what to do so ill just dribble" gravenberch will be vital.

I think we need to see this as the game where the title will be lost and forget thr Atlantic gsme and put absolutely everything in

Not looking forward to this. We all know what to expect. I really wish Jota was free and match sharp for this one.

Gravenberch is struggling, just doesn't seem to get it. Perhaps it'll come but I'd keep him on the bench for any important games if we have other options.

He didn't get a preseason but whoever comes in will have that problem to solve. He might suit another system or once he gets his feet under him for a full set up but right now he really is just trying to fit in by loking the same style as last august/septemebr.

he was asked to go wide left yesterday and he did so. its just that he doesn't seme to link up well right now.

bags of talent but a problem to resolve.

I'd absolutely bench him in league for jones and use in the europa.

LFC need at least a 2 goal lead, at least
