I’m normally loading the dishwasher after the roast around 3 and get a bit snoozy waiting for 4pm, so had a word
Banged in too many tonight Drawing a blank in this game Might get through on pens but think Utd sneak through
3:30 is the traditional kick-off time in Germany. It's the corrupt FA doing everything they can for Klopp and LiVARpool.
main concern for me is szobo and salah and Bradley having 90mins of old man walking football in their legs.
Referee and VAR confirmed for Manchester United vs Liverpool, JOHN BROOKS IS THE REFEREE. please log in to view this image Anthony Taylor will be fourth official and Tim Robinson will be in charge of VAR, supported by Chris Kavanagh.
Klopp said Salah is fine. Just eased his way through the last 20 mins. Let’s be real wasn’t exactly hard work yesterday.
he still played a half properly. I just don't know he bascially stood about for 30mins at the end. we made 3 sub at HT Nunez, endo and gomez. so we proritised gomez over szobo or salah. we then priorirtised Quansah over salah. Its hard to know what our next steps will be but i feel as though: Kelleher Bradley Quansah VVD Gomez (Robbo to come on and gomez to move over imo) Szobo Endo Macca (elliott to come on for szobo?) Gakpo? Nunez Diaz (salah to come on?, elliott to start?) We could start eliott at RCM then sub on szobo for example. We could start salah and sub on gakpo. We could start the main men. Who knows. Maybe even knoate will be on the benhc but i wouldn't like to risk that! Its getting back to where we need it and HOPEFULLY jones, alisson and trent will be back for the first game after the break.
Salah will 100% start v United. Absolute no reason not to given he started yesterday. Dont forget after this game Salah has a nice week and bit break during internationals.
of course there's a reason. he's only back from injury and played 90 even if he stood still for 30mins. it's a risk to play him, even if just a slight one. same for szobo. we are working him back up he's mad to get going but again it's a risk. how big? probably not very but we will have to see tlwhat comes out of the medical staff
There’s no way klopp would have played him yesterday if it meant wasn’t a chance of him starting against United. 30 mins or walking around was pretty much a cool down for him.
CHRIS SUTTON'S PREDICTION : AWAY WIN 1:3 Man Utd v Liverpool (FA Cup quarter-final, 15:30 GMT) Premier League (6th) v Premier League (2nd) Who did they beat? 5R: Nott'm Forest (PL) A 5R: Southampton (C) H 4R: Newport County (L2) A 4R: Norwich (C) H 3R: Wigan (L1) A 3R: Arsenal (PL) A A friend of mine told me he thought Manchester United would win this tie. I told him not to be so stupid. United have dug deep and got some good results against Liverpool in recent years - for example, they beat them 2-1 at Old Trafford at the start of last season, when I didn't give them a chance that day either. I know United fans might be getting excited about their 0-0 draw at Anfield earlier this season too - with what felt like about 2% possession. But Liverpool are getting key players like Mohamed Salah back to full fitness and if they turn up and perform like they did in the second half against Manchester City last weekend, then they are going to win - no doubt about it. There is some good news for United because their striker Rasmus Hojlund is going to be back from injury, and starting the game by all accounts. That is massive for them and gives them a far greater chance of getting through, but if Liverpool are anywhere near their best they will still have too much for them. Sutton's prediction: 1-3 Emily: These FA Cup ties are great for me with Leicester and Liverpool both involved. What a game this is going to be too, against United. These games are so intense! Anna: What shall we say here? Emily: Well, obviously Liverpool are going to win. We are absolutely backing them! Anna: Yes, of course - but by what score? Emily: Can I go 7-0 again!? What a game that was. It doesn't matter that this is at Old Trafford, because we will still kick their backsides there anyway! I am thinking 3-1. United might score first, but I reckon Liverpool will come back. Anna: I thought 3-1 in the end as well, but after Liverpool score first, then United equalise. Anna & Emily's prediction: 1-3 Emily on Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and his departure at the end of the season: I am gutted that he is going. He absolutely breathes the city, his heart is with Liverpool and he has been absolutely amazing for the club. What is funny is that I've got loads of Scouse mates and, when Klopp announced he was leaving, one of my friends posted on Instagram, asking if anyone else's husband was acting like someone has died, because he was crying - and he did not even cry when their kid was born. But yes, of course I am going to miss him. He's not just a great manager, he's a great guy as well, and he just embodies the city as well as the club. JONES KNOWS BEST AWAY WIN ALSO 0:2. Manchester United vs Liverpool, FA Cup quarter-final, Sunday 3.30pm - PLAY SUPER 6 TO WIN £750,000! Regular readers will know all about the sustainable edge we've been exploiting this season regarding Manchester United's ability to ship corners. The market still hasn't noticed, which is great news here where the Liverpool corner line is very backable. United's 10-game Premier League average of corners conceded now stands at 8.3 per 90 minutes after Everton surpassed the market's expected line and won eight at Old Trafford on Saturday. Klopp: Edwards is a 'top choice' for Liverpool 'I want to win all four!' | Szoboszlai eyeing quadruple But that corner-conceded average rises to a completely bonkers 11.5 corners conceded in the last seven games against the top five in the Premier League. They shipped 10 away at Villa, 13 at home to Spurs, six at home to Villa, 12 away at Liverpool, 12 at home to Man City, 12 at Arsenal and a staggering 15 in the recent league game with Man City - 12 coming in the first half. United do have a tendency under Erik ten Hag to stay in matches despite giving up so much territory and possession, so I can see Liverpool racking up plenty of corners as they hunt a way through. Jurgen Klopp's men are averaging 6.9 corners per 90 this season, and have won seven or more corners in 25 of their 44 matches, so a 55 per cent strike. When you factor in the opposition and their woeful corners against record averages, getting 5/4 with Sky Bet on Liverpool winning seven or more corners is a real gift. SCORE PREDICTION: 1-2
Klopp says Salah ready. Konate didn’t train today, will see tomorrow. May or may not be available for Sunday but losing race - seems like Quansah vvd cb partnership against then. Clark is all good and Gravenberch trained so all good
