Ding Ding, round two. The fact we didn't create a chance of note let alone score an away goal does not bode well. I honestly can not see a way through. Well I can, but I seriously doubt our bizarrely esteemed manager can so that means we won't find a away though. I very much doubt he even sees the significance of the fixture. Correct me if I'm wrong but the away goal won't count should we reach extra time at 2-0? As in, should Liverpool then score is it merely a goal, rather than an away goal? That's our best hope really. Win 2-0 in 90 minutes and extra time is then a free for all. We must go for it but not concede in 90 minutes. Can we do it? Can we ****.
That is the conundrum - we can do it, we know have the players to do it, but will LvG coach the confidence talent and skill right out of them
No chance, we'll need to score at least 3 goals, we rarely look like scoring more than 1. We needn't bother with the FA Cup game at Upton Park as we don't win away games.
We should go at you and see if we can grab an early goal as it's all over then, the longer it goes on 0-0 I'll be getting nervous of you grabbing 1 then getting an equalizer.
Ok chaps, for inspiration I give you this. This remains to this day the best night of football I have ever attended, it beats everything. It cost £2 to get in and there were 58 ****ing thousand of us. Be good if we could recreate this on Thursday. Enjoy;
LVG is our greatest hope. You have the players and talent to go for it and win 2-0 in ordinary time - we sure don't have the team to be able to play for 0-0, all Chelsea style. If it was SAF (or even Moyes, ffs) they'd be seeing it as a massive chance to make history and glory, as in that '84 vid against Barca. LVG will hopefully be that worried about conceding an away goal that he'll play possession football and try and hit us on set-pieces and corners. Whatever - it's not over yet.
Maradona's were so tight he had a camel toe! I bet his nuts were numb. He had a fair old quiff in those days too, luxurious.
Back then all footballers looked like those naff hair model photos that used to be plastered all over the barber's wall #somethingfortheweekendsir
He really has ****ing nothing to lose. A draw is useless, a 1-0 is too. So might as well go all out to attack and score as many as possible. No one but no one is expecting United to go through after the disgrace at the RS. A good performance could be beneficial for the FA replay even if we fail to get through.
Yep, could be a case of losing the battle but winning the war. Lets face it, I doubt wither team will get past the likes of Dortmund or many of the others. There is still more chance of getting to an FA Cup final.
This is true. Although don't forget they have a history of fluking undeserved trophy wins against superior teams, usually through deflected and dodgy goals and with the aid of penalty shoot outs. They have the luck of the Irish, can't imagine why
And I repeat, no. Easter isn't in the school holidays this year, and the bank holidays in Scotland are floating so we will be working and the little un will be in school.
