Manchester United replace Real Madrid as the most valuable team in the world Manchester United are the most valuable team in the world after signing a world record £750million kit deal with Adidas. Wall Street values the Red Devils at £2.1billion after shares in the club rose to almost five per cent on Monday following their ground-breaking partnership announcement with the German manufacturers Worth 6 points http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...drid-valuable-team-world-Adidas-kit-deal.html
Seriously though Diego Mr Custard has a point, if Utd use a spending strategy similar to the chavs and city and get in top players on a regular basis the extra revenue could be worth points.
£75m per annum is a huge advantage and could help you out no-end. Could bring you a £50m player- and pay his wages for a year, every year. That's one extra really truly top class player every year on top of whatever else you would have spent. You may poo-poo the financial side of things- but money brings in the players who do the real footballing side of things. Chelsea got Torres for £50m- you could buy a Torres every year for the next 10 years for that money. (crossing fingers)
Or you could be a real mug and buy a replacement for 35 mill ,and then put him on loan to another club, only to sell him on 12 months later for 15 mill. Such dynamic dealings make United fans green with envy
We also got a £20mill signing with that £50m too- and sold him for £75mill! I don't think anyone can explain Andy Carroll though... SOMEONE thought it was a good idea... With £75m a year, you can afford to waste money on 2 Andy Carrolls every year, and it won't hurt your budget.
Amazing how we seem to be growing even stronger as a brand despite missing out on CL football. It seems that 1 season missing out isn't going to hurt us financially
Amazing isn't it KS. Yet according to all the doom & gloom merchants, the Glaziers are bleeding us dry, No decent player will join us, and no manager would consider taking over the reigns. Completely baffles me how we are still a going concern
You sure Matth? I have a very reliable source called Forbes that begs to differ http://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbad...he-worlds-50-most-valuable-sports-teams-2014/
No you don't.... http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeoza...ost-valuable-team-in-world-after-adidas-deal/ "Wall Street now affords United an enterprise value of $3.6 billion. Math: market value ($3.05 billion) + long term debt ($613 million) – cash ($57 million). In April, we valued Real Madrid as the world’s most valuable team, worth $3.44 billion, with Barcelona second at $3.22 billion, and United third at $2.81 billion." Forbes says new kit deal means Utd in July > Real were in April
