Manchester United FC Player of the Year 1988 - 2011 The Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year, previously known as the MUFC Members Player of the Year (1988â95), is an award presented to the Manchester United fans' player of the season. The first winner of the award was Brian McClair in 1988, who also became the first player to win it twice when he won in 1992. Since then, five more players have won the award more than once, of which three have won it in consecutive seasons: Roy Keane (1999, 2000), Ruud van Nistelrooy (2002, 2003) and Cristiano Ronaldo (2007, 2008). Ronaldo's 2008 win made him the first player to receive the award on three occasions, having also won in 2004. Javier Hernández is the current holder, having won the award in 2011. If Ronaldo had stayed, he could have went in your history books as maybe the best player in your history, he was foolish for leaving.
1.Giggs 2.Cantona 3.Scholes 4.Keane 5.Ronaldo In that period that is in my opinion the top 5 players to have played for United.
your forgetting Charlton + best, also id have Rooney above Keano even though we all probly loved keano the most
No positional bias at all but I'd go for Schmiechel, Giggs, Keane, Ronaldo, Scholes with Rooney just missing out by the tiniest of hairs.
Might not even be a few years. Could be this year if he keeps this kind of form up and propels us to another league and/or CL win. Damn it. There is always someone. I'd like to alter it and say the Big Dane, Giggs, Cantona, Keane, Ronaldo.
If i was a united fan it would be Ronaldo, Scholes, Giggs, cantona, keane. similar to most i guess haha for obv reasons.
