It looks like Euston to Manchester trains aren't running on Sun 8th April. Anyone got any thoughts on alternatives.
    It looks like a 4 1/2 hour journey awaits.

    NO!!

To quote John Mcenroe you cannot be serious.

Despite Mcenroe's protests it has since been confirmed the train was not "on the line" as he had so protested.

    I'll get my coat...

If you can get to jcn 29 M1 or a train to Sheffield / chesterfield I can offer a lift across the peaks and back in return for a pie at t'match

There's always the official coach. No alcohol and plenty of weirdos for 4-5 hours. I'm sure there will be some unofficial coaches nearer the time which will probably be more fun and cheap.

National Express coaches too if you can avoid the temptation to slit your wrists.

Thanks for the offerf WBA. I was thinking of via Sheffield. My problem though is getting from sussex to London in time for a train to sheffield and then a drive to manchester. How long is the drive over the hill?

I used to work at Trafford park, it's about an hour from chesterfield to OT

Happy to oblige if you're up against it.
