Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is hoping to meet Manchester United owners the Glazer family in the next few weeks to present a £4bn bid to buy the club. (Sunday Mirror) So, Manchester is to become a battleground for the war-like Arabs. Every red Manc on this site must be rubbing his chipolata at the prospect of becoming yet another Arab plaything. Those plastic glory-days are but a few billion quid away, yeah! What do the rest of you think? Will this be good for the Prem? Or will it turn us into a richer version of La Liga?
That sort of money will be good for the elite of the PL , but bad for the rest( Of which we are most definitely a part ) . Also a killer for grass roots football IMHO . I fear for Bournemouth in the fairly near future . They are flying high , and well done to them . They have a VERY small capacity ground . IF the owner gets bored and pulls the plug , what then ?
That's a novel point of view, Tel. I wasn't really looking for comments from red Mancs, but you are more than welcome.
I think he is saying the money Football currently has is enough . Just spread it about more evenly , so ALL of football benefits ? Never happen though . Money ( tv / betting ) is killing all sports IMHO .
As long as they sell bacon on match days, they can buy UTD On a serious note, it would be bad news for Spuds and Liverpool as they will never win the league
You’ll get what you’re given, this is my thread now and I’m willing to let you stay if you wind your neck in.
Would he pass the Premier League's Owners and Directors Test given all of the **** that is in the news about him? Who am I kidding, of course the multi billionaire would be able to.
That would be the moment of the season. Their fans are proper twats - and yes it has plenty to do with the 4 nil hammering we took the other week...
It's bad news for everyone Matth, premier league football is turning to ****. As a United fan though I suppose we'll at least now be able to buy two £50 million players for every position and then claim the manager is a genius for improving them all. Then again, we've got Jose in charge so...........
To an extent. So, the way to remedy that is by the introduction of yet more Arab State money and influence!??
Not saying it's a remedy, tbh there is no remedy but a sad reality. The damage is done and it will only get worse imo. I just found it funny that you said it would be this this that turns the PL into a 'money fueled **** show' when like I say, it's been that way for ****ing years.
