A very big game, we beat them at the start of the season but this is going to be a very difficult game, we need to improve dramatically -especially in the centre of midfield and defence. Luckily chambers seems to be back, along with ramsey, flamini and ozil - hopefully ramsey is fit enough to start with sanchez and Walcott/oxo on the flanks - id keep cazorla in the middle with giroud up top (dont think welbeck is fot anyway). COYG!!!
Actually we drew with them. In the proper game we played them in where both teams were trying. Comfortable 2-0 victory coming up. Two quick counter attacks, probably from our offensive corners, with Navas involved.
Can't imagine Wenger will play as open as last season,it was like he'd morphed into kevin Keegan. Sanchez is clearly the biggest threat so I expect fernando and fernandinho to take turns kicking him round the park Hart Zabaleta Kompany Mangala Clichy Fernando Fernandinho Mike Dean Navas Silva Milner Aguero
Massive game this one, and imperative that we don't lose ground on the Spuds and Utd who both won today. I think we've got a good chance, City have blown hot and cold this season. If we defend properly, then there's no reason why we can't win this game. We have the firepower to do so, we just need to make sure we don't commit suicide at the back.
I got no expectations from this game - if we were to loose it is not the end of the world. At least that's what I keep telling myself in order to enjoy the game.
Debuchy out is a huge loss - play the slow Chambers or inexperienced Bellerin? Midfield will be crucial - Flamini & Coquelin for cover, or Ramsey and one of them to be more creative?
Hoping you guys get something from this game for obvious reasons. Like PISKIE said, City can be hot and cold, hopefully this is a cold day and Sanchez pulls something out of the bag. City come to the Bridge after this, hopefully there will be a 4-5 point gap between us when they do.
Have little expectation we will get anything out of the game. Expect a similar performance to the Liverpool game. Maybe we will scrape a point. That's about it.
I hope we get a point but not that confident of even getting that as our defence is so shaky at times against much lesser opponents.
Unfortunately this is a big game away from home and I just don't think we have the belief we can beat the big sides. I hope the team proves me wrong. City to win 3-1
Their best midfielder is not playing. Koscielny needs to take of Aguero and Coquelin needs to take care of Silva and if that happens then arsenal will win the game.
Arsenal XI vs. Man City: Ospina; Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal; Coquelin, Ramsey, The Ox; Cazorla, Alexis, Giroud
