You can't even have a debate with a fair few of them! I posted why we will comply with FFP and they just don't listen and post random dribble.

Just had to get this of my chest <doh>

It's denial. They have lived in hope that Roman would pull out and we would not be able to compete and now they live in hope that FFP will mean we cannot compete.

Arsenal and United fans it seems are still struggling to come to the terms with the fact that Chelsea and City won't go away

    Totally agree <ok>

although there are some decent people to talk to on both United and Liverpool boards, they have some total bell ends.

It's the problem when you have been spoilt with success, you become tainted. Arsenal have been spoilt by Wenger and United spoilt under Ferguson. Most of their fans don't know anything else and have only supported them in this era.

I doubt many United fans have experienced the dark days of the 70s and waiting 26 years for a league title or if Arsenal fans witnessed the boring football under George Graham and how dire they were for a good decade before winning the double in 71 because if they did they would be more empathetic and be able to relate to fans of normal clubs that have had ups and downs.

The media have convinced everybody that the elite are entitled to things everybody else isn't. That comes from the right wing press in all forms of life. From the expenses scandal, banking crisis to the fact Liverpool and United are entitled to be at the top and nobody else should be able to challenge that authority. People don't like change in any aspect of life and that is why Chelsea and City may not be respected, but they are feared and the two can be intertwined anyway IMO.

Some of the most intelligent footballing conversations I've had in real life and on forums have been from fans of West Ham, Man City, Fulham and Wolves who tend to have a broader view and perspective on football than Arsenal or Spurs fans who display a lot of hypocrisy and in general are too narrow minded with posters like Ammar proving an exception. However Older Liverpool and in particular older United fans are brilliant to talk to and amongst the most knowledgable you can find, sadly due to success they've attracted a lot of plastics who know little about the game so are harder to find, same will happen with us soon and City.

Dont go over there Purley--they are upset at not winning anything, and so they think you're winding them up!

Chelsea should have few issues with FFP but City are 5 or so years behind Chelsea and FFP will cause them issues. Chances are that City will revert to the team they are supposed to be not the team they are now. They will have to sell there best players as from next season wages of every player, regardless of when they signed their contract will have their wages included. Citys wage bill automatically rises £56million next year when all players from before 2010 are included.

Chelsea will be fine aslong as you remain relatively successful. Repeat last season but dont win the CL and things get a little worrying. City make nowhere near what you make yet make a loss thats triple yours. They will make another loss this year thats bigger than last year even though they won the Premier League. Bonuses and increased contracts plus new players and very few sales that recoup any of the transfer fees will mean the £40million you win as Champions will in reality be nothing.
