David Moyes? Lee Clark looks even more in danger than Moose. Blues are 0-4 down at halftime to Blackburn.
Holland manager Louis van Gaal, who is leaving after the World Cup, Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp, and Paris St-Germain's Laurent Blanc have been tipped as possible contenders to replace Moyes.
Difference now is the stock value of the club is taking a massive hit, they want to see the club in safer hands with £150 million transfer budget. You watch every player they are interested in doubles in value now they have declared that transfer budget.
Proving that it's just about money, as usual. I don't watch many Prem games, but the squad of players Moyes has at his disposal clearly are nowhere near good enough to compete with the top 4. A mass clear out is needed
To be honest Sir Alex quit at the right time as the first team is ageing with the likes of Rio, Evra, Giggs etc, perhaps he saw the writing on the wall and quit whilst he was ahead. Add to that the fact that Rooney is rapidly starting to look past it as well and the future is bleak by their very high standards. The new boss whoever it is (smart money on Val Gael, as no compo will be due to any team) will have a lot of work to do, with all the above past their best and Vidic leaving, a massive shake up will be needed, but will the owners back him, and with no Champions League (and it's money) and potentially no Euro league either, can they attract the level of player they need??? I see a slippery slide for United, look at Liverpool the last really dominant team in English football, when their infamous boot room went so did thiee success and it has been a long road back, and it could well be the same for United, the lack of CL football will really hit home hard for them.
I feel sorry for Moyes. I reckon he'd come good if he had another season at the club. When he first joined I thought that they were doing things the right way, by putting a new manager in and guaranteeing him time with a six year deal. Sadly, after a terrible season, Man Utd have proven themselves to be no better or patient than any other club in football. The fact that Ed Woodward was the guy to sack Moyes says it all. Now, Moyes reputation is in tatters. Twelve months ago he was a hero at Everton, and now he's booed by fans that adored him less than a year ago. Frankly, I'd love to see him get the Newcastle United job and make a run for Champions League qualification. While a lot of people slated his tactical decisions I firmly believe that sacking Moyes will bite Man Utd on the arse. I also believe that Martinez could struggle long-term at Everton. He's done incredibly well in his first season there, but he started with a great foundation. A few bad signings, and I think that foundation could crumble. If I were Man Utd I'd hire Giggs and Scholes as manager and assistant. Both are United through and though, and the former was notably critical of Moyes and how he didn't do things "the United way". This is their opportunity to continue the tradition and to cut their teeth in management. I reckon Fergie would even help them out a bit in the early months if asked nicely.
