I wasn't surprised to see Roberto Martinez lose his job as Everton manager, and most football fans think it's only a matter of time before Louis Van Gaal is replaced as Utd manager. But what on earth did Watford expect Quique Sanchez Flores to achieve with the club this season? I doubt any loyal fan complained about how they've progressed, most will be happy with mid table finish and reaching FA Cup semi final! They'll finish higher in the table than the other promoted teams this season.
Palace and Watford were moving along nicely until the second half of the season, after which their PL form has slumped really badly *** . So debatable that Pardew is not on the casualty list too because he reached the FA Cup final. *** Being beaten at home by Spurs around that period is purely coincidental.
From my limited knowledge of the Watford sacking it seems that yes Flores did reach his target of safety and reached a cup semi final also. However the whole manner by which their season petered out once having reached safety has peed the owners off. Flores was also apparently touting another job back in December. So the whole lack of 'not giving a **** has led to this. He is showing a lack of ambition to push on and Watford demand more. Martinez is ****.
