I am suprised that BR is on his way to the Poison chalice that is Liverpool F.C they are basically an outlet for the Boston Red Sox and have to adhere to their policies, thats why king Kenny got the Sack as his treatment and backing for Suarez went down like a bucket of sick in the good old U.S of A. The Red Sox were plagued with racism in the past and it took them ages to clean up thier act, just for Kenny to put them back 5 years. Politics my friends. How will BR handle all of the big ego's and more importantly how will he handle another situation if any that Dalgliesh had to deal with. Suarez should have been sacked like a dog, but KD didnt have the guts.

Seriously? Can imagine the conversation with the owners when they found out 22.5 million Suarez had been sacked! He'd have been at a new club on better money within days. I think the owners were annoyed with the support of Suarez which turrned into out right defiance but Daglish was sacked for finishing 8th in the league, it's a ridiculous position for Liverpool to finish. They have a quality squad and the new man will benefit (BR?) from the settling in a few did last season. I'm not suprised BR has been given the job I think he'll do well.

Cardiff are a bigger club than Swansea so they wont get Malky.

I doubt they will go for him anyway.

If Villa came for Malky then hed go in my opinion.

Hi Hilts. <ok>
Whether we are bigger than Swansea or not, they do have the extra carrot of already being in the Prem, and they have built a good reputation there too. They would be of interest to any young manager who is ready to make the next step.

That said, I agree that HJ is unlikely to come in for him

Alright Cling.

If Malky was told he was going to have to sell his best players with no money to invest then hed probably see us as lacking in ambition and would go.

Cardiff are a bigger club that Swansea and always will be.

To leave Cardiff to join a club who sooner rather than later will get relegated would be pointless.

Thats not a dig at Swansea. They are a small club who are punching well above their weight.

Malky would be mad to consider leaving.

Swansea are a similar size club to Blackpool. They may tempt Holloway.

Happy to concede on the bigger club thing Hilts - far too Leeds-esque for me anyway <laugh>, but as BR has proved, the Prem is the place to be regardless of the size of the club. And in the unlikely event of MM joining them, are we saying that he's not up to keeping them in the top flight? If we are, should we be worrying about his abilities where we are concerned?

As for managers doing mad things, well that doesn't happen too often!

Anyway, as we both agree, it's probably all academic anyway.

Groundhog day for the jax yet again then.

Who can tell how Brenda will get on at L/pool as yes he did well in his first season in the Prem but every one knows its the second season that really counts ,ask a number of managers who have been cast aside after just a failed second season .

As for MM i would like to think he would be as loyal as DJ to the City knowing that IF he could eventualy get us up to the promised land then he would have one hell of a support and backing behind him as they and we all know the future of this club is immence

You say MM will be loyal Cardiff, but he wasn't very loyal to Watford.

If the money doesn't come through for Malky to get the players he wants, or the investment at the club doesn't happen, I can see him moving on.

I think up and coming managers have a limited shelf life, they can stay put, and maybe risk the sack when things go wrong. Or move on when they have the opportunity to move to a bigger challenge to test their selves. BR as tasted the sack and lack of loyalty in football. Perhaps he now fancy's a bigger challenge, but with the risk of the sack. But I think he as confidence in his own ability and wants to be tested and make his own team (dynasty) , whatever he did at Swansea there was always the belief that Martinez laid the foundation.
Now will Malky, move to Swansea he as shown he as ambition by moving from Watford to Cardiff (bigger challenge).
Will he want to take over from BR , and the risk if he is successful of being labelled lucky, because the foundation was put in place by RM and carried on by BR. Or if he fails being sacked and labelled a failure. IMO its a no win situation, for MM.
So I think he will stay with Cardiff , and build his own team (dynasty) he's already started the foundations.
But in football who knows ?

you call call him Brendan ,he's not ours anymore, odds are shortening on MM so don't be surprised there will be talks ,

why should managers be loyal to clubs that will often sack them if they have a bad start to the season? £4m compensation at least too, and hey, even trundle is on the bookies list to get the job <laugh><ok>

Why would MM want to go to a smaller club?
Trundle and Hartson could be the new double of the decade...did not Notts forrest yrs ago have a simular pairing?

Wrong yet again ,Lambert is still very much Norwich manager and being scouted by Villa ...the only manager to walk away from a club this week in the Prem is your own beloved Brenda !!

Morning Guys and Gals,

Talk Sport this morning reckon the odds on Malky becoming manager of Norwich have shortened overnight now that Lambert has walked out on them.

Malky and Hughton in the frame but Malky as favourite.<doh>

Catch up Jon you freaking moron. Lambert just walked and Malky's off.

Hilts you don't half talk garbage. How are you basing this 'bigger club' crap? Crowd size? We sell out every week playing top teams. You couldn't sell out for your playoff game! <laugh>

Your envy is oozing out of every pore so give it a rest. It's kinda pathetic. Btw we're linked with much bigger fish than your soon to be ex-manager. :)
