Five wins and a draw this month. It's got to be Lee Clark. Fair play, fella. He hasn't won one of these since they started their very long unbeaten streak...
I am glad russell slade was given the time to turn things around, because he has. they are in a false league position, but i suppose starting horrendously then doing what people expect isnt really a basis for shelling out awards. i suppose Lee Clark would be a good shout. Megson has done well considering the awful squad wednesday have minus madine and marshall and semedo
Definitely a good shout, Nick and if they could announce it a week or so before our game at The Valley, just to give a bit of time for the curse to take effect, so much the better...
I was surprised that he hasn't won it before while Huddersfield have been not losing to all before them
Huddersfield have very consistently very good every month, whereas other managers might have had a one off brilliant month and pipped him. Hopefully Lee Clark getting the award will convince Leicester to appoint him! I'm surprised Powell hasn't been linked, seeing that he was a coach there, I guess he's seen as being 'too Charlton' to leave at this stage of his career. He has a good setup here too.
Dunno whether they think his too charlton, more too inexperienced I think for what they want in a manger
I think our loss at Stevenage must mean we are safe for another month Clark is a good call IA, could do with them having a piss poor November. Didn't the MK guy win it last month and they have had a poorish October.
Yes MK did I think. It is a curse. Parky won it in October or November last year and was gone by the new year. Strange to fall so quick .
well no it's nothing like that. it's just that after having such a good run, it is unlikely that a manager is going to emulate the same kind of form. When they don't, we all shout "cursed"!
I linked him, with Parky to return on double his previous wages, but Houndal vetoed the idea for some reason.
"Manager of the Month" = the silliest bauble in sport. Exactly what is the point? Was Parky actually a great manager for a month?
I certainly was surprised when he got it, I think the 5-1 win at Peterborough swung it for whoever decides it. That month we had the 2 FA Cup games against Barnet, in neither of which we played well, the 3-0 away win at Swindon, the 1-0 JPT win at Southend, a draw against Bristol Rovers, the draw against Luton in the FA Cup and the unconvincing 3-2 win over Yeovil at home. If the curse does indeed exist, Parky is the classic example of it. We didn't win in December and he was sacked 2 games into January.
