As the managerial rumours start to swirl let's see if we can't beat the journos at their own game and try to match the manager to their next club - OGS - MUFC POCH - Real Madrid SARRI - Mansfield Town ZIDANE - Juve JOSE M - Bayern Munich ALLEGRI - Chelsea KOVAC - Red Star Belgrade
Surely no big, currently successful club will touch Jose. He’ll end up somewhere like Monaco as long as they open up the war chest.
A lot of the paper talk here (in Spain) is linking him with a return to Real Madrid if Poch decides to stay at the Spuds. They seem to apply different, selective criteria here when considering whether or not a manager has had a successful time with a club - for all the discord and problems associated with JM's time at RM he is still considered a 'success'.
Isn't that largely subjective on their performances since he left as well? There comes a point at which all the CL titles in the world won't make up for one league title in seven seasons and getting regularly battered by their arch rivals. That was always going to bring out the rose tinted glasses for the last guy to actually have a decent head to head record against them. Let's be honest, how many here would be happy if we won 4 CLs over the next seven seasons, but Liverpool won four titles and regularly humped us by three or four goals, home and away?
