Tough to pick Man Utd's best 11. Here is my effort. ----------------------Dea Gea------------------------ -------Jones------- Rojo--------- Shaw---------- ------------------------Blind--------------------------- ------Di Maria------Herrera--------Mata------- ----------------------Rooney-------------------------- -----------Van Persie------- Falcao---------------- Not too sure about that defence.
I can imagine the first thing on the minds of opposition players when they see the Shaw/Mata side is "RAPE".
They like to discuss how much we have spent on our players, and we were hardly going to get Falcao cheaper anyway. Some where saying that if Borini was sold then Balotelli would have been £2m pretty much, if we used that with Welbeck going Falcao would be £8m then. Bargain
I did say similar yesterday about Falcao and Welbeck. If Falcao costs £24m for one season, selling Welbeck for £16m plus the savings in his wages more or less covers it. You just don't have a players at the end of it but you could have CL football.
In as back 3 change Shaw for Evans, if you wanted to keep the rest of the team then drop Herrera back alonside Blind and swap Mata with Rooney, it could do ok.
Fair enough Gerrez, god knows how much we would have to pay if we decide to buy him though, guessing they might have agreed that in the discussions over the loan.
Reports I read were saying £52m but seen another that said £45m. I'd guess at somewhere inbetween them TBH. Ask UIR though, he's in the know
Can anyone see us starting RVP, Rooney and Falcao at the same time now? it leaves us with Will Keane as the only striker on the bench (if he hasn`t/doesn`t go out on loan. We are well stocked with defenders if we have to make a sub, with Carrick, Fellaini, Young, Januzaj etc we can cover midfiel injurie in a game but i can`t think of any other strkers now Pea and Welbs have gone.
Let's see how Falcao does. If he keeps up his goal per game ratio then 52million would be a bargain. Suarez was sold for 75million and he's yet to perform in a major club game.
I thought Keane was back to his best, he was quite a bit ahead of Wilson at one point. Not seen a great deal of either of them, (usually end up watching a crappy stream that jerks from one end of the pitch to another in three strides ) but for some reason Keane always reminds me of Sherringham.
