Match Day Thread Man Utd vs Leeds - 1 & 2

The first of two back to back games vs Leeds. This one at home.

We've 4 important players out - Casemiro, Eriksen, Antony and Martial.

On the plus side I'm looking forward to (hopefully) Sancho and Sabitzer starting.

Leeds have sacked Marsch. Interesting fact - Chris Armas who's taken temporary charge was assistant to Rangnick during his time at United.

If we win these two games I really think we'll widen the gap, overtake City and really be on our way to securing top 4. But I'm not taking anything for granted, Leeds aren't as bad as their results suggest.

 

Martial injured again? For actual **** sake.

Didn't know Antony was either.

As it goes, those positions well covered, but we need them both back soon.

Fromt three of Rashford, Weghorst and Sancho for me. Garnacho and Elanga as back up.

Bruno, Fred and Sabitzer behind that.

Too much for Leeds in these two upcoming games.

 

On paper the tricky match is the away one this weekend. The home one should be easier as we are at home but any sign of complacency and taking things for granted will be punished. Fred/Sabitzer and Fernandes will be the MF for the first time. We definitely need to keep the focus and intensity. A new manager always brings that first match bounce.

I supose Martinez could play in a DCM role at a push but he's better off at centre half.

 

I won’t be surprised if Martinez gets pushed up in that Casemiro role and Shaw gets a CB role with malacia replacing him at LB.

Have only got radio on, but sounds like the problems are Garnacho, Rashford being on the right, Weghorst getting no service, and Dalot being right back.

Simple sub is; Garnacho off, Sancho on and Rashford to the left.

Then after that, Weghorst off and Elanga on.

Can't do much about Dalot with wan Bissaka being missing.

 

Ahh, Rashford and Garnacho have swapped wings, that's a start at least.

2 points lost. As I said earlier on this thread we would be punished if we behaved as if we could just turn up and win. This is the ****ing premiership. Any sign of complacency you get stuffed and that first 50 minutes were a disgrace. Every player just running around like headless chickens and not able to string 2 short pssses together.

Absolute ****show as I feared. And TenHag was a major culprit too. What the **** was he trying to do playing Rashford on the right? Garnacho was rank tonight, wasting chance after chance. He shouldn’t start any match in the next few weeks.
