Despite a worse season than ours, Man U are sticking with Ten Haag. This from the owner who tried to buy Chelsea. Pity the wrong people got hold of us. Hope this latest move by Clearwater Clown Company works out, but fear it wont.
Well Ineos clearly have people on the books who know football. I am not saying keeping Ten Hag was the correct move necessarily, time will tell on that, I am sceptical. The difference between Poch and ETH is that our trajectory was on the up, we lost only 1 of our last 14 league games and won the last 5 on the bounce. United on the other hand lost 5 of their last 14 league games. The FA Cup win papered over some of the cracks to be sure. Gotta say I didnt see this coming, thought for sure Ineos would want a fresh start, especially with how United seemed to be back sliding under ETH. Went from 3rd to 8th, he also alienated and pushed big players like Ronaldo and Sancho out of the squad, with Rashford set to follow them, and really didn't utilise Sancho properly to get the best out of him. Where as our players seemed to be be starting like Poch and were beginning to play for him. Yet our manager gets heaved out and ETH stays. Our owners certainly are morons, but I dont know whether this move by Ineos is gonna pay off for United.
It might not, but ETH also had a lot of injuries and apparently Sancho is a grumpy big head to boot. Thing is though, Poch was looking up and had sorted his best players so made progress. A better ownership might have given him further time to fine tune the team, sell off the unsuited players and bring in a couple of improvers. That would be sensible. Starting from scratch sgain is not only expensive but dumb. Man U have shown better judgement for the long term.
