what a disgrace they are to football, ok not all of them i will stress this but most of the fans we seen were so hostile its ridiculous, after we gained a great point me and my dad left the ground, as i was walking past the tribute of the Munich disaster one fan booted me in the shin with a decent bit of power and actually cut it! yes thats just a bit of pettiness but after this we still had our Newcastle shirts on and a guy leaned over to my dad and said, 'id take them tops off if i was you as people like me will stab you if your not carefull' im not sure if he had the knife out, but my dad was pretty shocked and we walked off quickly. there was a lot of hostility and the police officer we spoke to admitted there is a lot of trouble that comes from the 'home' crowd. baring in mind only 10% are mancs and i find that a discrace.

    anyone else have any bother?

Thats ****ing disgusting. You should be able to wear your shirts with pride wherever you go without having to get that sort of treatment. From what I gather there was trouble last week at City aswell.

    Awful.

Ino, it seemed hostile all the time we were there, as we came out singing i heard someone shout. 'with a reaction like this too a draw, god help them when the f****** win something' thats when it started getting a bit dodgy, genuinely did not feel safe

I stupidly shouted 'back to the airports and train stations' to the home fans outside the ground. And In the deepest scottish highland accent I was told to 'f*** off you c***'. I saw a couple of guys pushing and shoving as well. The problem was they were just so bitter. They aren't used to decisions going against them. Me and my mate had a walk around the ground before hand and had no problems.

People have ago at our fans for being "savages" when away fans have no bother at St James'.

Can't count how many times I've seen away fans with their full strips out just chilling outside the Milburn Stand tunnel, and they've never had any bother.

I was going to mention this. Everytime Ive been to St James' away fans have been wondering round without any bother. Heck, Ive been on a night out in Newcastle, and have even seen people walking round with Sunderland coats on etc.

A ****ing disgrace, someone can threaten to stab someone, just because of their colours.

This is the world we live in, Ladies and Gentlemen. Don't you feel proud? Society is evil.

I would have taken the knife off him and stabbed him in the face.

I've seen Boro' fans chilling outside The Gallowgate before. Never seen any real bother outside/inside SJP.

It's pathetic to get violent over football, we're all human and mostly citizens of the same country.
I wouldn't get angry with someone if they liked red because I like blue.

Thats the brilliant thing about Newcastle though. From a biased point of view, I dont think there is a nicer set of supporters anywhere in the country.

Bolton fans are ****ing awful. Went to watch York v Bolton last season at The Reebok. Their fans, were a bunch of thuggish cowards.

We had problems outside white heart lane last season with one or two spurs fans. I have never given any away fans at SJP anything but banter. . . It's just a shame that generally all football fans get thought of in the same light to a few people.

    Too late :p

We're a town full of chavs. I've never seen us get violent though, and I've been to 100+ away games. I once saw an old man get pushed onto the ground by a steward at Chelsea just because he wanted to go for a piss. ****ing disgrace sometimes.
